The gentleman at the front was very rude and dismiissive. My room was prepaid but there was a $150 deposit for the one night stay. I had to use a new credit card since i wouldnt have enough on my debit. The first time i tapped the card it said declined but i immediately got a text saying that my card was being used in another country. I sorted that out with the bank and was told to proceed. When i went back to him to run the card, he turned the card backwards inserted it and said declined, by this time he became even more dismissive and unaccomdating. I was on the phone with the bank and they kept telling me the only decline they see is the initial one which was sorted out so whatever is happening has to do with the merchant. By now i was frustrated so i asked for his manager. He asked why i needed the manager as if he didnt want to get her. I told him, either you call the manager or refund what i already paid for tge room so that i could go and book another hotel. The manager came and thankfully offered to help. She explained that this happens sometimes when you use a new card. She allowed me to pay the international tax and forego the deposit since i would only he staying one night. I went up to the room and it was very tacky. Not dirty but tacky. The wallpaper peeling, the carpet smeeled funny and the light in the hallway outside my room wasnt working. Needless to say i will never be staying at this place ever again.
