Top Nicoya Peninsula Hotel Reviews
JW Marriott Guanacaste Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Nice resort"
Hotel Riu Guanacaste - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"We stayed here for the first time in Costa Rica ! It was a short drive through the (about 30-40mins) to get here from Liberia airport. I recommend to book your transportation prior to your trip. The hotel was beautiful !! Lots of pools, food options and entertainment. The staff was also friendly. There is also a Waterpark in the property for the little ones with slides and sprinklers. We had an overall pleasant experience here, but coming with small children I do have some suggestions that could make the experience even better. Rooms had multiple doors which were easy to open even when locked (not child safe). I would suggest the hotel has family rooms with child safety locks to prevent any accidents while on vacation. Also rooms with families should be cleaned daily. We changed our children dirty diapers and they would be there for the whole day (sometimes more than a day). Even if we left for the day to eat or enjoy the pool, when we would return the garbage would still be there. Maybe they are short staff but this could improve. Also"
Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"This was my 2nd time at this particular resort. It wasn’t as crowded as my first time there about 8 years ago. But the experience and enjoyment was the same. The staff was great, friendly and eager to help."
Hotel Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort
8/10 Good
"Stayed here a week, our first time in Costa Rica. Great location if you’re looking for the surf town vibe, breakfast buffet was good- staff seemed a little lacking in customer service at times but we found a couple who were gems! Beach side of resort has different vibe than the location across the street. Much quieter on that side. Enjoyed our experience and would come back. The excursions and hotel transportation we booked were cheaper NOT booked through the resort."
Occidental Papagayo - Adults Only - All inclusive
8/10 Good
"Le personnel tres gentil et serviable et le lieu très beau et grand multitude d activités, mais la chambre aurait pu être plus propre, certaines reparations auraient pu etre faite avant notre arrivée et.le.lit très très inconfortable et dur j' ai eu mal au dos apres 7 jours"
Occidental Tamarindo - All Inclusive

"El hotel es lindo y muy completo, la gente muy amable, comida muy rica y siempre fresca, recomendable!"
CC Beach Front Papagayo All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"CC Beach Front Hotel is right on the beach (Pacific Ocean side), has multiple pools, great views (sunsets amazing), 25 minutes from Daniel Oduber airport (took us no time from flight arrival to check in), plenty of lounge chairs on and off resort. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Thank you Daniel, Diego, Christian, Kiendy, Jean, Llieanna, Adrian from making us feel welcome. We pre booked airport transport with Freddy transportation services (alleviated any planning during stay…more time for drinks!) Privacy was great and we felt safe. Often our 13 and 14 yr old girls were in the pools while still insight from our partial beachfront hotel room. Even took an Uber to local town to visit BAC international bank to get some cash (US dollar. FYI most local atm only provide Costa Rica colon). Resort offers complimentary canoeing on adjacent Culebra Bay (opens to Gulf of Papagayo apart of Pacific Ocean). Locals on the beach offer jet skiing for a fee. While the canoes are tranquil, the jet skiing was a thrill (if you are adventurous don’t hesitate…find local Ronny for availability). On jet skis (with Ronny) ventured into the Gulf of Papagayo to see the coastal beaches, gorilla rock, caves and mangroves (bring goggles to avoid getting salt water in your eyes..uncomfortable but wash out with shower). Prebooked Guachipelin Volcano, Zip lining, horseback ride, water tubing, hot springs/mud bath tour. Also pre booked Nicaragua day tour. It’s a whole day trip. Check pickup locations"
El Mangroove Papagayo, Autograph Collection
10/10 Excellent
"El Mangoove was wonderful....beautiful property, lovely room, great restaurants. The staff were really superb. I would most definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to others."
Villas Sol Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Here we go..The property conditions was excellent and the Hotel or resort staff was outstandind, great with me and my family as well. But unfortunely i can say the same for the food serving in the main restaurant they need to get or pay more attention cause for me working in the food and beverage industry for some many years the food that I tried was no good, everything else was really good."
