“Great getaway for a few days immersed in nature, stunning hikes and views and wonderful staff and cuisine. Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!”

“Over a number of years we have stayed at lots of different hotels in India ranging from 2 star to 5 star and the Oshin Hotel in Kalpetta was the best for us. The standards of hygiene were excellent (no bugs in sight), all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and whatever we asked for e.g. iron and ironing board, extra coat hangers, more towels etc, were produced in moments. What makes this hotel extra special are the staff, every single one of them whether it was a housemaid, reception...

“Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was very well prepared and served. The room lacked finishing touches like colourful cushions as shown in the lobby photo which left a very austere atmosphere in the room. It was comfortable enough. It’s built on a steep hillside so be prepared to have a good workout for the thighs coming and going to the restaurant and reception areas if you wish to walk; gold cart transport service is available if you prefer. “A great escape with great service. A bit out of town away from the noisy traffic, set in gorgeous surroundings. The room was very large and clean and beds were comfortable. Felt like 5 star. The bar and food options were good. Altogether a great stay where our every need was met.”

“Das Resort ist wundervoll! Die Aussicht auf den Chembra Peak, der Garten bzw das Resort-Gelände, das Essen und vor allem das unglaublich tolle Personal machten meinen Aufenthalt besonders! Thomas, der Manager, liest den Gästen jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab und ist so nett. Die weitere Damen und Herren sind aufmerksam und nett! Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnte ein bisschen Schliff gebrauchen. Das hat meinen Aufenthalt aber in kleinster Weise negativ beeinflusst.”
