Labor Day shenanigans at Lincoln Beach. Lincoln Beach served New Orleans' African-American community during the time of segregation. You have to hop the levee/fence, cross the (active) train tracks, and then find one of the the trails that leads to the water. This is a view from the outside of part of the old arcade, a lingering reminder of what used to be. Unfortunately, the whole area is littered with trash as its not maintained by the city or the railroad locality. "Stayed at the French market inn. It was a very comfortable stay. The room is beautiful clean very comfortable king size bed. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely come back when we are in New Orleans. "

"The location is great! The roof top pool and views are very impressive. Steve, the concierge, was a great help. We also enjoyed the Happy Hour at the Rig Room bar. I highly recommend this hotel. My only complaints are that our room was not attended to so we had to tell the front desk in order to get service, and the safe was locked shut upon arrival. We need assistance to open it for our use."
