"Its a beautiful, nostalgic throwback to a colonial India hillstation. Darjeeling is wonderful and this hotel has memories, from the posters and photis on the walls, of life back when. I stayed in the Tenzing Norgay block, with old somewhat faded photos of the great man along every inch of corridor. But not everything works...some of the lights, the bedsheets dont fit, the towels are worn. None of that distracted me from the historic atmosphere of old time luxury. The afternoon tea was great, as were all meals. And staff exceptional."

"The rooms were clean and the staff were really helpful. They need to make the hotel more friendly for the people with disabilities. They need to put side rails up and make the hotel more wheel chair accessible. Furniture is old, basically to maintain the colonial heritage, but still the furniture could polished to look new. Otherwise no complaints. They just need to make it more friendly for the DISABLED since it’s on the top of a hill."

Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. Passion of the staff to serve customers is unparalleled and trickles down from the leadership of Debarya, who seems to talk about the resort like it's his baby. "Sinclares Resort is such a gem! The entire property is meticulously maintained and nicely decorated with beautiful landscaping. The premium room is spacious and bedding is clean and comfortable. They provide you with a heater during winter time so the room is plenty warm. The best part is the hot shower which is so much better compared to other equally expensive hotels we stayed across India. You can take a really comfortable shower without worrying about the hot water running out in the middle of the shower which happened to us in other hotels. Also, you won’t get bored just staying in the hotel because there are many things you can do, from badminton court to ping pong table, to spa service. The food is excellent and thoughtfully prepared. Needless to say the mountain view is spectacular. What’s even better than the view is the staff in the resort. From reception to restaurant, everyone greeted us with excellent services and care. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken good care of. They truly made us feel at home. I’d like to express my appreciation to Gautam, Koushik, Swastik, Saurav, Shovan, Subrata, and Ankita for making our stay a memorable experience. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who plan to visit Kalinpong."
