"I wanted to love this hotel.
We picked it for the pool as we have kiddos. And they liked it just fine. It’s not the hotel’s fault that we went on a busy sports weekend. So the pool was very very busy. They told us that they bring pool towels around. They didn’t so walking back with a soaking swimsuit wasn’t cool but not the end of the world.
The website also said that they offer rollaway beds for an extra fee which cool, we needed one because rooms were scarce during that weekend which we expected. They DID NOT have rollaway beds at all. The hotel didn’t offer them. Not just they didn’t have any available; they do not offer them ever. So I asked for extra bedding because one of the kids said he’d sleep on the floor. They said “we don’t have extra bedding. They are available for the suites. But you can have this..” and gave me two flat sheets. This was not a cheap hotel. The bathroom in our room had sticky floors when we got there. Gross but with room scarcity, we had to make do. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone honestly."
"It was wonderful getting into our room after being in a car all day. The bed was very comfortable, just wish there was an extra blanket, I had a terrible cold. The staff was very pleasant."
Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Sheridan Hotel & Convention Center
8/10 Good
"Check in was a breeze! Nice, helpful clerk gave me a remodeled room, very quiet. Bed was a bit on the hard side, but my hips like a foam pad. I stayed 2 nights, never figured out the heat…reader said 74 the entire time l was there, l set it to 69, but if l didn’t have fan on High, it never ever cooled….even then the ambient temp read 74? Great light by the bed and over the desk! BIG PLUS! light in the Bathroom, not so much, but it could have been worse. No bathroom fan…not ideal.
For a newly remodeled room, l was a bit disappointed, but the carpet was fresh and l wasn’t afraid to walk on it bare-footed."
"Staff was gone for lunch when we showed up and did not come back at the time they said they would. Bathroom was disgusting. The tub was really brown. Air conditioning needs updated. It shocked me when i turned it on. Need black out curtains. Street light shined right in our room all night. "
"We did not need AC. Room temp was good. If you want bells and whistles then go somewhere else. This was a great room with a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker. The bed was good and the shower hot. Incredible value."
