"Hotel is very pretty. Room large, pretty and comfortable. Well designed, but with some modern annoyances - can't use fake card key. Desk clerk very friendly and helpful (Arthur). Own secure outside parking area with gate that is closed at night. Restaurant good, but may not belong to hotel. Internet connection blocks ssh. We have junior suite, which is quite large and very nice. Hotel fronts on canal, and view is fantastic. City is very pretty from this viewpoint. Breakfast good. Thermostat appears to be only decorative. I like this place a lot. Definitely better than the usual 4*."

"Easy to find. Lots of parking.Felt secure and well lit at night. The most warm and efficient welcome Beds and pillows very comfortable. Good soundproofing. Very good value breakfast. Ate next door at The steakhouse..Excellent steak and ice cream."

"Room adequate though disappointing there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Cold tap water not cold. Despite this the stay was very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. "
