This isca terrific hotel and for us the only place to stay in Noumea. So many good things, great pool and beach facilities, lovely King room with sea views, marvellous breakfast buffet, close to Anse Vata restaurants and bars, and a short walk to the Grand Casino. Best of all great service from all the staff, Baptiste Exec Chef, Maya at reception, all the staff at breakfast, at the beach bar and restaurant, and housekeeping..

Exceptional location for Kite Surfing (Pro's / Experts) with great accessibility from hotel - directly infront. Fabulous massive pool as well as sandy beach to enjoy (snorkels complimentary use). Close to nearby islands, 15min water taxi. Sunset magnificent over the water! Sunloungers for pool AND beach - amazing!

Beautify facilities, very hekpful staff and overall a great stay. Only downside was the noise from some renovation work at the hotel starting at 7.30am on a Friday and the day prior in the afternoon a jackhammer being used under our room, so no sieata for me (1st world problems heh).

The staff were excellent and spoke very good English. They were always friendly and helpful. The property itself is beautiful and right on the beach. The pool is big and the sunbeds are comfortable. The room was a really good size and the bathroom was lovely with a big bath and railhead shower. However, two negatives were that the property was very mouldy (on ceilings, walls, even the headboard for our bed) and there were limited dining options with not much choice on the menus.

I am here on a solo trip, I haven’t left yet but this resort is the most safest, relaxing, quiet accomodating place, they give you afew perks during your stay. I don’t want to leave, I had booked this place for 3 nights and booked another place for 3 nights once I checked out I instantly couldn’t leave I had to cancel the other hotel (which btw was the worse accommodation I walked into) booked my stay back at the Le Meridian and I’m so happy to be back same day as check out 😆 no regrets I lost money but gained this experience. The services here also makes staying here even better, the short walk to town and a 2 minute walk to the walk to watch the sunset was just a blessing in itself I will definitely be back next year 👌

The staff was lazy not professional and didn't care ,our air conditioning was set on 22 degrees all night so sleeping was a struggle, the roof cleaning service was hit and miss ,had to chase them for toilet paper znd clean towels, i would not go back to this hotel or recommend it , the food and drink prices was a rip off the actual rooms and pool was the best things the hotel has going for it .most people we spoke to had the same problems with their air conditioning and some was leaving because of it not working

Not a 5 Star Resort as advertised!

The resort is definitely not 5 star! More like 3 star. The upgraded room we were given stunk and in the morning in the light we could see there was mould everywhere! We were travelling with our baby and asked to be moved, which they did and second room was better but still not great. The resort exterior is very run down with concrete falling off the building in chunks. Huge balls of moisture on exterior walls. Roof fascia has beeb torn off in parts and not replaced. Outdoor furniture on balcony is rusting and unstable. Grounds need work to make them beautiful. Staff were lovely. The pool area was great and pool was huge! Beach was great for swimming. Should not be advertised as 5 star, should not be selling rooms at premium price.
Exterior fascia torn off in parts and not replaced.

Nice stay but housekeeping needs to be improved

We stayed a week from Christmas to New year. Received complimentary macaroons on Christmas's eve and complimentary champagne and chocolates on New Year's eve. A nice touch from the hotel. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We do not speak french and we got a lot of help from them on arranging activities and transport. Thumbs up for all the hotel front desk staff. Direct access to the beach. Within 10 mins walk to the area with a number of restaurants. The only problem of our stay is the housekeeping. We did not put 'do not disturb' sign on our 1st night. Around 9 am, they used master key to force open our room door after we did not response to their knocking. This is pretty shocking. The housekeeping at times are half done. Towels not changed. Took away our used towels without giving us new ones. bodywash, shampoo not replenished. On 1 of the days, the room was left open, unlock. We got a shock of our life. Luckily no lost of items or valuables. Do remember to put up the 'do not disturb' sign if you do not wish to be disturbed at 9am daily.

Le Meridien is beautifully situated at the eastern end of Anse Vata beach. The beach access, lovely views and expansive areas to lounge by the beach and pool are fabulous. The staff are lovely and helpful. Please be aware that management has temporarily closed most of the restaurants and bars, so options are currently very imited. We also had to change rooms because our first room had too much black mould and triggered our allergies. Despite these issues, we had a lovely time overall.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were very helpful and friendly, despite the language differences we managed to get everything we needed. The concierge helped with bookings which was wonderful because not all the transport/tourist companies had english speakers. Greatly enjoyed having a cocktail and watching the sunset and kite surfers.

The concierge was extremely helpful. The staff were friendly and attentive. Sitting between the pool and the ocean is an enjoyable place to take in the view the food and drink and the sound of people enjoying themselves. The rooms present well and have great views.
