“Beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces”

“Stayed here for two nights. Friendly staff on arrival - dispensing ice lollies on a very hot afternoon. Room ok but very hot - only two of the windows opened and even then not very far. Fan simply stirred hot air around. Plenty of water provided and tea-making replenished on request. Decent biscuits too. Big disadvantage is that the restaurant for breakfast and evening meals is in separate building 100 yards away up a hill. Need umbrella if it is raining. Had one dinner in there - food...

“Our room was very very hot needs ac ,we was give a large fan but it was very loud. Shower pressure not great. When asked for ice as our water was warm was given minimum which melted very fast, in these hot conditions fridges should be provided. Overall the staff very polite & friendly beautiful building.”

“We booked about a year in advance as we wanted to be in the area for our son’s wedding the next day. We paid top price but didn’t get a top hotel! Our bath panel had been severely damaged by water and whilst the aircon cooling worked well it was like having a tractor in the room! Service in the restaurant was good however our main courses were really poor. We had a tough as old boots sirloin steak and I had the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had in a restaurant.
