“Excellent hotel and highly recommend to all. Location is perfect. Right in the centre of Buxton. Very beautiful and surrounded by lovely cafes, bars, restaurants. There isn’t a car park on site so I parked in the train station which cost about £5 for 24 hours and was 2 mins walk away. Room was very nicely appointed. Lovely and quiet. Felt private. Bathroom luxurious. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Staff all very friendly and polite. Local and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and served...

“We had a really relaxing stay here we stayed in the area called the cottage it was a very old building it didn’t look so great outside but had a surprisingly cosy interior we booked the twin bed room we are not used to small beds so it was a bit difficult to sleep but I watched the last kingdom with subtitles and eventually drifted off a twin room was all they had left on a bank holiday weekend the hotel had a lovely spa it really made the stay special, we also went to the Fat abbot restaurant...
