"Overall the stay was good. FOOD Food was nice, STAFF friendly enough staff although slow at responding and serving reception. FACILITIES The outside pool needs love as a lot of tiles missing leading to being uncomfortable if rubbed against or sat on. Area around pool appears unsafe but don't worry they have put black and yellow tape over the uneven decking so I guess all is good. Not!!! "Had a fantastic weekend at the Ramside whilst visiting friends in the area. Room was lovely. Clean, comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. Lovely view across the green to the treehouses. Very quiet we will definitely be back "

"Hotel spa was not available due to maintenance, which was disappointing, but complimentary use spa across the street. Staff was lovely, breakfast wonderful and facilities modern, clean and well kept."

"Lovely place to stay out of town and surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is a bus about 50m away that goes to York. Great place to stay and explore the area, then come home to an excellent spa and gym. Only grizzle is that the pillows weren’t great and I think if you’re staying there you should get a spa towel without paying for it! Make sure to book any spa treatment or restaurant early as they book out. "

"We had an enjoyable stay at tbe hotel and had a fabulous breakfast. The room was tidy however we found a capsule of some sort of medication under the bed and the fire alarm went off in tbe morning and noone came t9 check or inform us of a test."

"Booked a business room, did not have a USB connection. Note on bathroom wall stated use shower mat but was not one in room, when i asked at reception they stated you have to ask for one. Toilet paper so thin very cheap."

"This was a memorable stay thanks to Ingrid and the team. They went above and beyond for my partners birthday. Thank you. The location, the food and atmosphere was superb. We had a minor issue with the AC (couldn’t work out how to put the heating on) and it was fixed within minutes. Reception were welcoming and attentive. The spa facilities included the steam room and jacuzzi. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you! Definitely coming back here. "

"We have stayed here before. This time check in was thankfully very quick which has not always been the case. Why they cannot get consistent with this I don't know. Restaurant particularly good, partly because we sat outside on the terrace in the fine weather. "
