“Lovely comfortable clean room, very helpful staff. There was no air conditioning and we couldn’t open the windows and we stayed during a heatwave so the room was very hot. Next time probably wouldn’t pay for breakfast as there are lots of excellent cafes close by”

“The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lodge 2 was perfect for our needs as we were staying for a wedding and needed space with a kitchen for 6 days which was helpful with saving time and money. We could dine in when needed. Coming from the US, the amenities and hot water switches take some getting used to, but we figured it out! Thanks for a lovely stay.”

“I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. ”

“Really enjoyed staying in the room that was on 2 floors. Great view of the sea. Room was OK. needs updating as does the rest of the hotel. The lift is very small. Could only get 2 small people in it. Not much room for anything else. Great Indian restaurant inside the hotel. Highly recommended that. Great location just needs updating. Great staff.”

“We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia...

“Decent room but bathroom needs improvement We recently stayed at Rocksalt Rooms in Folkestone. The room itself was comfortable and nicely appointed – we had no issues there and enjoyed the location right by the harbour. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a real letdown for a longer stay. The shower left the floor and toilet completely soaked every time, and the sink was far too tiny, which made daily routines awkward. These issues made the bathroom impractical, especially given the wet-room style...
