“Very clean and cozy place but if you don’t have a car or a friend who could give you a ride it’s better to use a hotel in the central village. If you drive this is the hotel. Its swimming pool is very nice as well as its garden. ”

“Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. “My husband and I only stayed overnight but wished it had been longer. We were amazed how beautiful the gardens are and we made sure we walked round them and visited the castle before we left. We stayed in the Stable Courtyard and the room was excellent with all the facilities expected of a 5* hotel. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great too. Thanks to all the staff who were helpful and professional.”
