Great hotel and spa with friendly, helpful staff and good amenities. Central location in a beautiful building, plenty of free on street parking nearby. Room was clean comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast had plenty of options and freshly made.
Our whole experience was wonderful, from check in to drinks in the cocktail bar to dinner and breakfast. Valet parking was a tad expensive but so convenient. We intend to return before Christmas - think it will be lovely.
A perfectly positioned location with easy access for anyone with mobility issues, the staff were as helpful as anyone could wish for and created a very welcoming atmosphere in each department.
Comfortable and clean room with an exceptional breakfast. Valet parking only which was pricey (£35 per night) although you might get lucky with street parking. Spacious crescent in front of the hotel which would be nice to use for blue badge drivers. Kevin at reception was very helpful when checking in and out.
To start with the building is amazing with a beautiful reception. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was easy to find. A large and clean room, a lovely bathroom with a big shower and a separate bath which was great. We used the spa too which was so clean and relaxing. Had a couple of gorgeous drinks in the bar and a lovely breakfast in the morning.
Beautiful hotel, staff very friendly, thank you to Amy on the front desk for helping out with the spa

Firstly want to start of my saying the spa treatment and facilities were truly 10/10. The location was also great with nice walks and restaurants. However, for a 5 star hotel I was left a little disappointed. There was a whole in our duvet and the room had marks, chips and stains on the walls, dressing table and wardrobe.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Rooms on the 3rd floor are a little difficult to locate as lift only goes to the 2nd and 4th floor. Not idea if you're on the 3rd floor. Also Spa very expensive: I booked for 30 back massage which lasted 15 mins so check how long it is before booking.
Amazing stay, spa facilities were great and so relaxing, welcome drink on arrival a lovely touch.. Great weekend

The service did not reflect a 5* hotel. Lobby toilets flooded the walkway outside the toilets on the way to rooms. Flies sitting on the hams and cheeses for breakfast. Although the spa was lovely and the spa staff were great. Would not stay here if the spa wasn’t attached
Excellent hotel and highly recommend to all. Location is perfect. Right in the centre of Buxton. Very beautiful and surrounded by lovely cafes, bars, restaurants. There isn’t a car park on site so I parked in the train station which cost about £5 for 24 hours and was 2 mins walk away.
Room was very nicely appointed. Lovely and quiet. Felt private. Bathroom luxurious. Bed and pillows very comfortable.
Staff all very friendly and polite. Local and helpful.
Breakfast was delicious and served in a nice room. The service was a bit Fawlty Towers. They could do with a better service manager judging from our experience.
I didn’t go into the spa but could see from our room and it looked great. Will try next time.
Highly recommended 5/5

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Only issue was that one of the pools and the aroma room in the spa were closed and unable to be used. We weren’t informed of this prior to stay.
Overall thought a fantastic place to stay with friendly staff.
Would definitely stay again!
A lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with an excellent spa. The facilities in the spa are first rate and the opening times mean you can make the most of this during your stay. I also liked the fact you could get ready in your room and had the rooms and flip flops there ready for you. Our room was beautiful. Very comfortable and clean. Only downside was breakfast. It was okay but some items were missed off out cooked breakfast and the quality didn’t match the setting. The hotel bar is beautiful and well worth a visit. Great location and would visit again
