I took a bus from Lisbon to Obidos. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the bus drop off point. Though it was not an easy walk as the road isn’t flat. Recommend that you avoid bringing big luggage. While the hotel is within walking distant from the shops and restaurants and everything you need to see in Obidos, it is not at the main street from all the restaurants so you don’t hear much noise at night (a bonus for light sleeper). The only suggestion I have would be an upgrade of the bathroom. Other than that, everything else was fine.

I loved the decoration and cleanliness of the room. And didn’t like the lack of staff and service. Also, they told us when we arrived that there was going to be breakfast in the morning and there wasn’t any. Not even coffee. There was only tea and no tables and chairs to sit.

Great location & Service

Great location inside the castle walls, very easy to walk anywhere. Friendly and professional staff. Only warning is that parking is OUTSIDE the castle walls in a very public and dusty parking lot.

Charming and super clean

It was a charming old place inside the wall. Literally steps to everything. The acient walls and its history, its worth the visit. The hotel is super clean and steps to good restaurants.

Would not recommend the hotel. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and the location was very convenient to the town. On the negative side, there is no parking and I had to figure out that myself. Also, you have to carry your bags up a steep, slippery slope and stairs. The worst part was that the room had a terrible smell of mold and mildew which seems to be prevalent throughout the hotel. You would think they would have figured that out by now. My wife says you get what you pay for but in all of my many years of travel, I have never smelled a room that bad. The least they could have done was provide some air freshener.

Beautiful hotel inside the wall right at one of the side entrances. Beautiful lobby area with outside patio, beautiful room with excellent bedding and remodeled bathroom with window facing the tower wall, x el lent breakfast buffet. Hotel gives you access to tour the tower palace since it belongs to the same group. They also offer a shuttle to the train station. The bus stop is only 7 minutes walk to hotel
