"The hospitality of Nori-san, Chie, and their family made our stay so enjoyable. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort and shared wonderful details about their beautiful, nutritious, farm-to-table meals. We even got to tour their farm, learn about rice planting, and spot a precious firefly. The house is bright and clean, overlooking rice paddies, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. "The staff were very friendly and attentive! The ryokan was beautiful in the snow. In the best possible way, we had a great time laughing with the staff over my stilted Japanese. The lady who showed us our room went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We had a lovely time at Shikitei, and I hope we return!"
