The staff was excellent and the food/meals were amazing. The seki saba and aji sashimi as well as the bungo beef were delicious and a must try. We really enjoyed that you get to use one of the four onsen for yourself/your party for 1 hour, just make sure you go at the designated time slot and the onsen you chose. There is English intructions to help you use the amenities as well as an explanation of the inn and their areas.
The only issue is we found mold growing in the AC which we did use after our bath time to cool down. We did find it odd that it smelled weird a bit and unfortunate there was mold in the AC. Hope we don't get sick.
Other than that, the inn was a nice place to stay for a Beppu onsen experience and Beppu/Oita cuisine
