"Where do i even start from? I am a frequent traveler and this Balote hotel is the worst place i have ever lodged. The first day i got there i was mistakenly locked inside the building with keys from outside and i couldn't go out, i later found out someone had locked the door from outside because they thought there was no one in the building. The t.v in my room was not working, so i called the number on their email (no receptionist on sight) and the lady that spoke with me was so dismissive. I was told someone would come the next day to have a look, no one ever came. The shower faucet was not running water the first day and i had to use a small plastic bowl to scoop water from tap to shower, I found stains on the pillow cover. I stayed 5 nights and i was the only guest in the whole two story building throughout my stay(i should have been made aware of this prior to my lodging). There was no ironing board in my room which was included in my accommodation listing. The wifi doesn't work so well especially if you are sitting at the balcony, it stops working completely. The only good thing is the location which is close to the beach."

"Our stay was excellent. Everything to make our stay perfect had been thought about and provided by our charming host. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful linens & towels. High quality furnishings & a superb & very comfortable bed. Mosquito nets on all the windows & patio doors . Our host went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. Without any hesitation I would recommend Villa del Sogno to anyone that appreciates a home from home. Near to good facilities, beaches & restaurants locally and only 15 mins by car to the charming town of Trogir. Also only 20 mins from Split airport. Please book, you will not be even a little disappointed. We cannot recommend our stay highly enough."

"The property was clean and within walking distance to a very nice beach, not too touristy. The town itself is quaint and it's a 40 minute drive to Split. 12 minute drive to Trogir which was a beautiful little town which we found to be even more interesting than Split but less crowded."

"Location is great but I had some issues with the room. Floor was sticky with floor cleaning solution, seems to be common in Croatia. Fridge did not work at all which is tough when you want some cold water in the heat and store snacks for long stays. Remotes with dead batteries. Light bulbs burned out. Host has strange rules, not client focused. With some improvements this could be a great stay. "

"The owner was very friendly, the property is well positioned for a quiet stay with good views of the nearby sea fron a very good terrace with sun all day. Negatives - the pool was great but no space for sunbathing, only a single sofa bed for comfortable seating inside, self catering but only has a hob for cooking"
