The views from the rooms are all good. Everything else is average. For CHF 270 per day, you should be able to expect a firstrate experience. However several things disappointed us for our 6 day stay (which we could not change). First, there is no elevator and no assistance with heavy luggage (whichever room you have, you must climb stairs). Then there's the parking situation - the hotel does have a nice underground parking garage but it appears to be given to a hotel down the road; initially we had to park 100 meters up the road in another hotels parking on the street, but after complaining we were given one of the spaces near the hotel entrance (we were surprised to find a CHF 18 charge on our bill on checkout for this spot). The rooms are not very impressive - the bathroom is tiny and there is no air conditioning (just a noisy fan on the table) - the kitchen has a fridge and cooktop but no dishes or cutlery were provided, so that went unused. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The staff was friendly enough but we were not sorry to leave.

Perfekt!

Das Hotel liegt phantastisch auf dem Berg mit einem tollen Blick auf den See. Da meine Frau Geburtstag hatte, war das Hotel so aufmerksam und hat neben einer handgeschriebenen Karte noch ein Präsent ins Zimmer gelegt. Betten super bequem. Frühstücken gut. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Locarno Hotel Barca Blue *** ( Orselina ) Top !!!

Ein sehr schönes Hotel oberhalb von Locarno, zu Fuss 10 bis 15 Minuten, ÖV vorhanden ( mit Ticino Ticket gratis ) bekommt man nach dem einchecken, für alle Hotelgäste inklusiv. Das 3* Hotel ist relativ neu und hat wirklich grosszügige Zimmer, Kühlschrank, Kaffemaschine und 2 Kochplatten, als Wilkommensgeschenk 2 Getränke und 2 Kaffeekapseln 1 Standventilator und einen riesen Samsung TV. Der Eingang ist ganz unten bei der Tiefgarage, von da geht es in die 1. Etage zur Reception wo man auch deutsch spricht, von da an geht es in die 2. und 3. Etage des Hotels, kein Lift ( nicht Rollstuhlgängig ). Die Zimmer haben alle einen Balkon mit Seesicht ( 3. Etage sieht man am meisten ), wie schon gesagt die Zimmer sind relativ gross und das Bett schön gross und sehr bequem. Bei der Buchung ist auch das Frühstückbuffet dabei, was übrigens sehr gut war, beim Empfang hat es sogar noch eine Früchteschalle ( Gratisobst für die Gäste ). Für Anreise mit dem Auto hat es Aussenparkplätze oder eben die Tiegarage, die muss man zusätzlich buchen und kosten pro Tag : Aussenparkplatz CHF 18.00 / Tiefgarage CHF 25.00. So nun wünsche ich einen schönen Aufenthalt in diesem tollen Hotel, eine Buchung ist es definitiv wert, ein sehr zufriedener Gast aus dem Kanton Aargau.

Wir haben das Hotel spontan gebucht, da wir nicht wussten wohin wir gehen sollten. Da haben wir halt für dieses Hotel entschieden. Nach der Ankunft mit dem Auto, mussten wir im Partner Hotel einchecken, weil der Empfang nicht mehr besetzt war. Aber es war immerhin organisiert gewesen. Der Parkplatz musste leider separat bezahlt werden und kostete CHF 18.- Im Preis inbegriffen ist auch ein kleines Frühstück. Wenn sie das Frühstück upgraden wollen, können sie gegen einen Aufpreis von CHF 35.- ins benachbarte Hotel und dort das Frühstück geniessen. Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Der Balkon war süss und wir hatten einen kleine Ausblick. Das einzige was mich sehr störte, was das Sonnenlicht. Ich konnte früh morgens nicht mehr schlafen, weil es zu hell war und sie keine verdunkelungsvorhänge haben. Auch ist es sehr umständlich nach oben zu kommen, wenn wir jetzt kein Auto gehabt hätten und auf den ÖV angewiesen wären.

Leider passt bei dieser Unterkunft das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht Die Atmosphäre ähnelt einer Jugendherberge ( Plastikstühle im „ Frühstücksraum“ „keine Untertassen“ ) Die fehlende Klimaanlage ist bei Außentemperaturen absolut störend— Gebäude ist ein Flachbau, der sich stark aufheizt— Der nicht vorhandene Aufzug, bei drei Stockwerken, auch nicht positiv. Insgesamt bei einem Übernachtungspreis. Von rd. CHF 350 pro Nacht für 2 Personen deutlich überbezahlt und daher nicht empfehlenswert
