"This is quite a basic hotel. But it has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The restaurant is really nice. And most importantly, it might be the best hotel for viewing the fjord. There's literally a viewing platform right outside the hotel's door."

"Well located although Alesund is not that big. My room was a good size with a large wall to wall, ceiling to floor window overlooking the sea. Kept nice and clean during my stay (not by me). Excellent breakfast with a very wide range of options. I didn't try the top floor restaurant but it commanded an excellent view of the town without having to climb the 418 steps to the viewpoint at the rear of the hotel. Excellent WiFi. Parking to the rear and underneath at an additional cost."

"The first impression i have to be honest was not so good with how the building look. It could use some “ spruce up” to make that good impression. A little datk when you enter the building . Instructions were right on. They allowed us to check in an hour early. Great river view. Just need to be on full stomach when you get there. No restaurants near by altho there is ONE convenient store managed by the same owner i believe. Overall, nice place to stay if you are just passing through."
