The property itself was clean and the staff very welcoming. One has to pass through a neighbouhood that doesn’t feel as welcoming to reach this property and the smell in the lobby was a bit off. A cheap hotel near the centre of Oslo and I would say you get what you pay for. Only really needed a room with a bed and somewhere to stay overnight and that's what you get! Other facilities in the hotel too, but we didn't need them.

The location is ideal. The standard room is a good size, very clean, with adjustable heating, and the shower is hot and powerful. The lifts work well, serving odd and even floors separately. There's a small gym on-site and a lounge area equipped with useful amenities, plus free coffee near the reception.

I wouldn’t recommend booking a room facing the courtyard. It’s not actually a real courtyard — the room looks into the hotel’s interior. Because of that, the windows are locked and don’t open, so you can’t air out the room. At night there’s a light on in that area, so you have to keep the curtains closed. We tried opening the door for ventilation, but the corridor was even more stuffy. We informed the hotel management, but nothing changed. The next day, thankfully, a staff member named Sadi (I might be spelling it wrong) stepped in and changed our room. Other than that, the location is good — about a 10-minute walk to the center and 12–15 minutes to the station. There was no kettle, paper cups, or tea/coffee in the room, but it was clean. Check-in and check-out could be done at the reception, and there was also a self-service machine available. The staff were polite.
