The standard room was only available when we reserved, in basement, no natural light except louvered door, bathroom tile terrible, room smelled musty. But if you are out all day exploring as we are, we tolerated it. Great location in historic center, beautiful views of harbor from breakfast terrace. The bed linen, whilst very clean, was very worn and paper pillow cases on the spare pillows let it down. Some of the electrical appliances seemed to have the wrong sort of plug - northern rather than southern European, so difficult to use and concerns re forcing them into the sockets. Otranto makes a very good base for exploring the local countryside.”
