"Upon arrival, check-in was the worst that I have ever experienced.... and I travel a lot. The room was to be ready at 4 pm. I had a meeting outside of the hotel at 5 pm, so had to change in their pool area to make the meeting on time. My partner texted me at 5:06 to tell me that the room was ready. To be fair, the front of house staff were very apologetic and very friendly. The room was what I expected. Dated by great value for the cost. I would stay here again. My only hope is that the check-in issue was just a glitch."

"Classic property with lots of history. Loved the outdoor terrace overlooking the Parliament buildings. We stopped by for an evening tea and when done, we asked for the bill. The server said with a smile, “there’ll be no bill “ - a very classy gesture we’ll remember for a long time. A small concern The walls on the third floor are thin so we could hear entire conversations from the room next door (we were in 365). They happened to talk a lot - late and early - so it affected our sleep and enjoyment of our stay."
