"The stay there was generally great. Good view from the accommodation, quiet and good breakfast. Service is nice, and efficient through WhatsApp. Only one issue is the last night of my stay there are termites. I know that they are not harmful, but the wings and worms dropped on my baggage. I don’t know if there are efficient and sustainable way to avoid this or not. Guess it might be a common issue living in old buildings. Overall, Ouro Preto is so nice, worth coming and living for some time."

"I liked the guy in charge of the place and this place was very, very cheap, so one can not expect much. Further more, we are Danish, so maybe we are spoiled. Never the less, we booked for 18 people (two times 9 bed dorms). We called in advance to make sure we knew what to bring. We were instructed only to bring towels. When we arrived there were only mattresses for 12 people, pillows and linnen for 8. We could have brought that stuff, so it was dissapointing that we were not told when we called....

"I am an architect that loves the work of starchitect Oscar Neimeyer. He designed the hotel in 1938. One of his first projects. It was a great place to experience his legendary vibe. The Owners have done a wonderful job to maintain the hotel in its grandness. We stayed in a two level suite that overlooks the city. Wow! What a memorable time. The staff is friendly and helpful. The meals at Oscar Restaurant are perfect. Parking was included. "
