"The bedroom was fine, but the shower was difficult to operate. Staff were helpful and the breakfast good. Parking was convenient, but we had not expected to pay for it, perhaps this could have been made clearer when booking."

"Parts need to be freshened up/ up dated, like the lift. Tha Swimming pool area, the rail rusty, floor tiles & spar changing room / shower door etc The cleanliness over most of the build was good, but parts like level 3 hall way was very poor, when the lift door opened on level 3 I was getting very worried what the room was going to be like. The room was good 😃 lovely beding⭐️ mattress ok . Staff & service brilliant from front desk to breakfast staff, Brilliant breakfast spread. thank you ⭐️"

"We went for one night, arrived early as you can use the facilities before check in, great for a relax and swim. We ate in the Rampsbeck restaurant, gorgeous food, would definitely recommend. Breakfast had absolutely everything you can think of, make your own waffles, croissants, granola, cooked breakfast, fresh muffins...great if you have kids that are fussy eaters like mine. No slippers provided so bring flip flops for spa/pool, not a problem we just didnt realise, we will next time. Very child and dog friendly Access to the lake couldn't be more on your doorstep! Some outdoor games available like badminton and a tree swing. We will be back, as it was honestly one of the best hotels we have stayed at."

"I would strongly recommend ringing ahead before arriving for check in as there isn't the usual reception on site and no late check in. And even checking in at 7pm was a slightly nerve wracking procedure that took several nervous minutes of ringing doorbells, Ring Door Camera, texts and two phone calls until I finally managed to speak to the owner, who was off site and arranged for someone(I believe another tenant) to let check in. Eventually it was NOT a problem - but well worth ringing ahead! That said, the hotel was clean with good facilities - TV, tea, coffee, kettle and efficient modern shower. The morning staff were delightful and the full English Breakfast was generous and well prepared. Just over 10 minutes walk from the train station."

"The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The beds were really comfortable, breakfast was very comprehensive and nice. The place is a little run down, but looks as though it’s being improved. Great value for the price, would definitely stay there again. They do do evening meals in the bar although their website doesn’t say so."
