“I stayed at the Tavern for one night Monday 6/10/25 prior to attending a funeral. I had read previous reviews criticising road noise. Whilst it was heard,I didn’t find it an issue at all. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed. Superb bathroom- i loved the large soaker tub- hard to find a room with bath these days. Staff were very friendly and food was hot and tasty with portions on the large side! Would definitely stay here again.”

“A lovely hotel. Great value. David and Geraldine are extremely kind and welcoming. Room large and clean with plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast well cooked. Very accommodating of our bikes. A perfect hotel, thank you.”
