"this was the best B&B I have been at. Being the only guest really made my 50th birthday trip extra special. The proprietors were so helpful and gave me many suggestions on what to see along with letting me use a book they had "the Big Island Revealed' very right on. The food was amazing. I had an early tour one morning and when I got back breakfast was waiting. The day I left she (cindy?) got up early made fresh coffee and fresh baked cinnamon rolls for me to take to the airport. "If you want an experience and not a hotel, this is a good place to consider. Don’t complain if you wanted a Marriott; it’s not the Marriott. The hostess and host are kind and genuine. The lodging is nestled in a neighborhood, but it feels almost like a jungle. The shower is outside and is reasonably private. Don’t mind the geckos lingering nearby as you enjoy fresh fruit for breakfast."

"I loved the night time action hearing all the wildlife it was amazing. Having the bathroom outside was awkward but was trying new things and the second night i wanted a hot shower and it was nothing but cold water...my husband and I are plumbers and we take a look at the water heater and it wasnt staying lit...so we didnt even get to have a shower after sweating all day and going to the beach...pretty place but they need to take the money from the extra days i didnt stay there and possibly fix...

"We ended up in a different room than the one shown on the hotels.com website, and it was very rustic, to say the least! The bathroom was a long ways away, and we had no lights, so luckily the Ipad light helped. The sheets and clothes get damp, so make sure you cover things up. Mosquitos are bad, so bring protection. If you're into nature, and a very basic hostel situation, you will enjoy it. If the sounds of nature bother you at night, bring earplugs!"
