Beautiful location and buildings with lovely staff

A truly beautiful venue for a wedding, lovely staff, great food, very clean. A few little niggles in the room 3c, broken bathroom door handle and fridge not working but apart from that a wonderful stay and we stayed an extra night too. I can definitely recommend it.

A truly delightful stay. Borgo del Carato is beautifully restored, and located in beautiful surroundings. The first thing that struck us is how the air is rich with the scent of orange and wisteria blossom and the garden in the morning full of birdsong. The team were all friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. And the food is delicious, with an excellent breakfast (the cakes deserve special mention) and a superb five course evening meal made of fresh local ingredients. Overall we couldn’t be happier with our stay. My only regret is that we only booked for two nights - I would love to come back for longer.

Hôtel très calme loin du tumulte touristique. Alller à Siracusa prend 30 minutes mais retrouver cet hôtel paisible est un vrai bonheur. La piscine et l’environnement sont très agréables. Les hôtes sont adorables et se mettent en quatre pour vous rendre service. La chambre était spacieuse avec juste un manque de miroir dans la chambre. Ns avons passé un séjour de 3 jours très très agréable avec un bon rapport qualité prix

5 stars and oozing with charm

Probably the most amazing place we have ever stayed. It is stunningly beautiful and oozing with charm. Our apartment was amazing and as for the courtyard, words are not enough. We ate there both evenings simply because the atmosphere was magnetic, the food great and Santo was a gem. We loved his sense of humour and amazing hospitality. Not a place we will ever forget. It was a privilege to be swept up in Borgo del Carato' s absolute charm.

This is a beautiful set up, a former carob farm in the Sicilian countryside converted to a hotel and spa. It is like a film set, its stunning. We had a lovely stay here. My criticism would be that the room was not as smart as I expected. The shower curtain was mouldy, one of the lights did not work and although spacious, our room had nowhere to sit. It would have been nice to have a balcony or an area to just sit and appreciate the surroundings. The staff are lovely and help wherever they can. There is a spa but it did not seem to be really functioning. The hotel should put more info in the rooms about the treatments on offer, the costs and timings etc. It's a lovely place and needs to promote itself more to its guests.

Un borgo da 100 carati!!

Abbiamo soggiornato al Borgo del Carato dal 4 al 7 luglio durante il nostro viaggio nella Sicilia orientale. Sarebbe riduttivo dire che siamo stati benissimo. È stata un'immersione nella Sicilia più vera. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, così come tutto il suo staff. Siamo rimasti tutte le sere a cena e abbiamo mangiato benissimo. E che dire della piscina... stupenda. Mio figlio e mio marito hanno anche fatto una passeggiata a cavallo nella tenuta. Lo consiglio sia a chi viaggia in coppia sia a chi viaggia in famiglia.

Fabulous hotel.

Superb hotel in a lovely location.our room was huge situated on the second floor,with views across the fields.there is only 15 rooms in this old converted farmhouse,so most of the time we had the pool to ourselves.the food was quality and plenty of it and nothing was too much for the staff if we needed anything.we were part of the family which included playing with the dogs and birthday parties.on the middle week end we were invited to a family birthday party at the hotel.a fantastic evening.on our last day we had a few hours to wait for our flight,but the manager said there was no rush we could leave when we were ready.fantastic holiday,lovely people,marvellous location.

l'unico appunto che puoi fargli e' che sta un po' nell'interno, se sei il turista solo spiaggia ed hotel lascia perdere, ma avendo un'auto noleggiata vale la pena di fare ogni giorno 20 km da siracusa e dal mare, e' una bella masseria ristrutturata con cura, eccellente ospitalita', camere ben tenute, piccolo ristorante di pregio, molto rilassante, piscina in tufo bianco, pietra locale bellissima ma riflette molto il sole, abbronzatura garantita ma anche scottatura facile se vi addormentate su un lettino senza creme solari come il sottoscritto, segnalo gli ottimi ristoranti che abbiamo provato: Bistrot Bella Vita e Apollonion Osteria a Siracusa, Campisi e Marzenemi,

Who wouldn't give this place 5 stars

A fantastic host and someone who has created the most amazing hotel. It may be slightly out of the way but it is well worth the effort. Great food and an amazing pool. You will not want to leave. I wish more people would create such an experience.
