“We had the attic room and it's very spacious. The bedroom has a huge bed that is not too soft and we slept like the dead. Dual aspect with sky lights. Fan and extra soft cuddly blankets if needed. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron and microwave. However, the fridge was the reason I booked. A seating area where you can chill without a TV on and a small book shelf with a wide variety of books. We were very pleasantly surprised. Lindsay, the owner is a lovely fellow and you could just stop and talk...

“Had a great extended weekend stay at Porth lodge! In a great location with the beach just a short walk away and Newquay within walking distance it's perfectly tucked away. The staff were very lovely and helpful and the breakfast made to order everything was a highlight. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and homely stay”

“You can kinda tell it used to a hostel and all they basically did was shut the bar and swap the bunkbeds out for cheap doubles to try and remarket themselves as a hotel. Cleaners were brilliant and friendly but it all needs a facelift.”
