The hotel is a marvel and the Manage of Operations Juan Carlos Rios is tremendous--he is everywhere--greeting you upon arrival, getting the bellman to take luggage to the room, park the car, then in the restaurant and even assisting with travel directions for your onward journey. The hotel makes a nice stay over when transiting via Quito to the Galapagos or other destination in Ecuador. Staff and service were great, very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the Botanica Restaurant and found the service and quality excellent (try the Tempura Shrimp entree). The heated book was very welcome and while we did not have time to use it, the fitness center was large with a great selection of modern equipment. Beautiful authentic boutique hotel. I had to stay one night on my way to Galapagos and did not want to stay at one of those chain modern places. This hotel is very charming, with hammocks outside and place to walk safely on the property. Bonus airport transfer included. Onsite restaurant open till 10PM with great food.

I’ve traveled all over the world, five countries in the last 12 months. I have to say that this hotel had the best customer service I’ve ever seen. I was treated like a king as a regular traveler. I never leave reviews but I want the next traveler to Quito to find this gem.

This hotel is a gem! It seems like a 5 star retreat. We checked in extremely late due to our international flight and a simple email to the hotel was responded with assurances our room would be waiting, and it was. The lobby and room was always impeccable. I cannot say enough about the staff! What a beautiful place

The environment at the hotel was extremely welcoming, the service was great and the room was well equipped and clean. I particularly enjoyed the walking tour with Santiago, who was very thorough with his explanations and showed us the best of Quito’s beautiful historical town! Even though I was traveling solo, I never felt alone because of the staff. I would definitely recommend this place to any travellers looking for a more personal and traditional trip in Quito!

I somehow thought this would be closer to the airport, but it was about a 30 minute drive. Nevertheless, Llalo was very clean, safe, professionally operated and the breakfast on the porch was ideal. The rates were appropriate for the lodging. I highly recommend it.

Besides being a clean, beautiful and comfortable hotel, the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXTRODINARY. I forgot my family's passports and money in the hotel safe and left for the airport which is 40 min away. I didn't realize my mistake until I was in the airport terminal with only 1 hour before our flight. I chose this hotel for its proximity to Quito's Plaza Grande and for the hotel's own plaza to show those traveling with me some of the architectural style, knowing that we wouldn't have a lot of time in Quito. NH Collection Quito was an oasis. Rooms were super clean and spacious. The front desk gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants. We had stayed in the historic center the week before. We were really glad we came to this area for a change.
