Liebe Steffi, Freut uns zu hoeren, dass Ihr 3 sehr schoene Naechte bei uns verbringen konnten. Die Trockenzeit dauert sehr lange bei uns, dafuer hat man immer schoenes Wetter, die Sicht im Meer is besser und die moeglichkeit unsere Tiere zu sehen, ist viel hoeher als waehrend der Green Season. Die Tauchbasis wird von Blue Season Bali betrieben und hat leider indirekt mit uns zu tun. Taucher haben die moeglichkeit auf eine Snackbox bei 2 Tauchgaengen und bei 3 Tauchgaengen ist eine dabei. Wir haben leider sehr viel Stromausfall im Nationalpark wobei wir in solchen Situationen Diesel Generatoren betreiben damit unsere Gaeste Strom haben. Zur Zeit wuerde es nicht viel Sinn machen elektrische Busse mit Diesel Generatoren aufzuladen aber sobald sich die Situation betreffend Strom in den naechsten Jahren verbessert, ist dies sicherlich in Erwaegung zu ziehen. Selbstverstaendlich haben ich ihre netten Worte betreffend Kulinarik an unser F&B Team weitergeleitet und es wuerde uns freuen, Sie bald wieder bei uns begruessen zu duerfen. Dear Jan, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Yes, we are approximately 4 to 5 hours away from Seminyak and stated everywhere that it is a long journey but a beautiful trip when traveling through Bedugul and visit the twin lakes. Furthermore we are located in a 400 hectare National Park where we certainly have no shopping streets or Nightlife nearby. We have two Restaurants available to choose from which is the Bali Tower Bistro where you have sunset viewing deck on the top 5th floor with happy hour from 16.30 to 18.30. Pantai Restaurant is located at the beach with a deck above the water serving seafood & BBQ dishes with separate menus for Gluten free and Vegan preferences. The Beach Villas are built in a sustainable way with lots of wood and just a few steps away from the beach. The Monsoon Lodge where to pool is located is nestled inside the forest surrounded by trees and visited by birds, monkeys, giant squirrels and other wildlife. Dear Josie, Thank you very much for your feedback and we are glad to hear that you had a lovely stay at The Menjangan. Some of the corals at our house reef have bleached because of the increased water temperature in 2014 and 2015. Since 2016 the temperature is stable and small corals start to grow back. Apart from the corals you are still able to see turtles, seahorses and other spectacular marine life. I suggest during your next visit to go to nearby Menjangan Island for a Snorkeling trip with its amazing underwater world. Yes, our bikes free to use to go around the park might not be in best shape but we try to keep up with the maintenance. Sadly not every guest treat our equipment with care so we charge a small fee to rent our snorkeling equipment. Certainly I have shared your kind words with the entire Menjangan Team who made your stay very special! As you wrote correctly, the Monsoon Lodge is 2km away from the Beach but easy accessible with our Safari shuttle or bikes free to use for the ones who like to be a bit more active. Our guests have the choice between the Beach Restaurant or the Bali Tower Bistro (500m away from the Monsoon Lodge) where you can enjoy first a sundowner at the top 5th floor during Happy Hour and experience an amazing Sunset. With great pleasure I have shared your feedback with Pak Wayan who does an amazing job and is a great supporter of our Eco & sustainable projects on land and at sea. During your stay were strong winds blowing but we don't have riptides or so called rip currents like it is the case in south Bali. We have signs stating "No lifeguard on duty" and safety rings are available for emergencies. Menjangan Island has a spectacular underwater world and I am glad to hear you did the trip which is an amazing experience as well for the youngsters.
