The building looks awful from the outside, and you need to go inside and catch a lift to the 8th floor to find the hotel, but once you are in there, it is all new and lovely. Very clean, and staff were friendly and accommodating. The girls at the front dest had some English, and they tried their best to help me out. Breakfast was pretty underwhelming for the price, and hot water took at least 15 mins to come through. There were several "Gentleman's clubs" in the block, and a late night alcohol shop, so probably not a place to stay with kids, but for a stopover for a single or couple, it would be fine.
