Great service at the bar and restaurant, with staff who were attentive and friendly. The pool area was clean and relaxing, and the garden beautifully maintained, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. However, I was a bit disappointed that access to the spa facilities (such as the sauna and steam room) required an additional charge. While I completely understand paying for treatments, I feel that basic access to these facilities should be included. Overall, though, it’s a very calm and enjoyable place to stay.

We stayed one night. The restaurant was fully booked (I have never experienced this before in a large hotel). The Spa was overcrowded with noisy young people. So I can only comment on the room. The room was spacious and clean with a good shower. I would not stay again as there are other hotels in the area that provide a more cost effective service, given the limitations I experienced.

Posta Donini: a welcoming experience in Umbria

Posta Donini is a renovated grand residence that was originally built in the 16th century. The setting is beautiful, but what really makes this place unique is the kindness and availability of the staff. They are incredibly helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have a memorable stay. For example, I needed a wired internet connection with a static IP address, and the staff did their best to accommodate my request. I highly recommend the free tour of the grand residence as it gives you many fascinating insights to the long history of the building, which was fascinating. The breakfast and the food in general are also excellent. There is a wide variety of options to choose from, and everything is made fresh to order. The swimming pool is great. I didn't try the SPA as I was happy enough with the outdoor pool. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at Posta Donini. It's a truly unique and welcoming hotel, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Umbria. Last but not least, if you have an EV there is a charger in the immediate vicinity of the hotel parking and a Tesla Supercharger station at a 5 minute drive, which was extremely convenient. Personally, I will return for sure :)

The hotel grounds and rooms were amazing. Very spacious and up to date. Staff were great and although not located close to any shops, the location was perfect if you are driving and want to see the area. Wifi was spotty would be my only issue and as I was required to work daily, this made it a bit harder. Otherwise, great location and room.

My fifth visit to this nice hotel. Friendly and helpful staff and service throughout. Excellent housekeeping and super quiet effective air conditioning in the rooms. Nice pool and garden with plenty of shade. Couple of small gripes. Shame there was no lunch service in the garden like in previous years. Hotel bar closed a bit early (but night manager always willing to open it up).
