“La vue sur les vignobles du Douro est spectaculaire. Les employés aimables, sevice 5 étoiles. Petit déjeuner impressionnant beaucoup de variétés. Déception pour le restaurant. Nous avions choisi de diner le soir à ce restaurant, vraiment decu. Le menu n’est pas digne d’un hôtel de cette catégorie. Présentation très ordinaire, et choix très limité et basic. ”

“Hele mooie plek om te verblijven. Het was alleen jammer dat het leek alsof we tussen drukke periodes kwamen. De mooie tuin stond er een beetje rommelig en verlaten bij. Maar personeel was uiterst behulpzaam en vriendelijk.”

“We have stayed at Torel for two nights in July. This was a to celebrate special occasion and it was worth it. The hotel is on hills where the Douro (Port) wine grapes are cultivated and it has a beautiful view of this world heritage site. The room is very comfortable. The hotel has two restaurants. Both are good but the smaller one (Schisto) is a really good (soon to be)Michelin star restaurant. Really worth the experience. ”

“Stunning! We stayed in the 2 bed suite is the Casio de campo building…it was like staying in a millionaire decorators apartment!! Huge patio to a stunning view of the mountains/vineyards. Wanted to cancel the rest of our trip and stay there. Breakfast was wonderful. Wine tasting unparalleled!”

“Such a wonderful slice of heaven. Definitely visit this property. The staff were fantastic & so helpful. A bottle of sparkling wine at the pool was €18 and absolutely delicious. The breakfast omelette was delightful, the dinner was delicious. The pool was sensational, such a lovely place to be. Book it! We had a vineyard suite, the Manor House ones seemed further away. ”
