Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
The room was very small but adequate for a stop over but I did expect a little bigger. Was also clean and we were not at all cold. But it doesn’t really feel like a “guesthouse”. A) it seems more like they just built some rooms in their backyard and accommodate people for extra money - there is no breakfast option etc. but mostly B) the hostess was really not friendly and did not make us feel welcome at all. She just stood leaning against the counter with her arms folded when we arrived. She didn’t come greet us, introduce herself or make us feel particularly welcome. In fact we felt decidedly unwelcome and that we were an unavoidable inconvenience. The only hospitable thing she did was tell us where we could have supper in town. If you want to be in the hospitality business you need to be hospitable and make your guests feel like “guests” in your guesthouse.
It was very comfortable, the staff made me feel like we have known each other for years, very friendly and the made it very easy for me to give them the same respect and love that they gave me.
Thank You Travellers palm, i enjoyed my stay.

Great location
Comfortable stay. Rooms were clean and closely located to the Kruger Park.
Perfect little stop-over for our trip to the Kruger National Park. Friendly reception and the room exactly suited to our needs. Will definitely make us of this establishment again.
Staying in room with outside shower. Really not such a bad overnight stay, very convenient location to stay and I would stay there again for a single night if required. Courtyard area from which rooms branch off can be very noisy, especially at 6am when other patrons want to leave and they are up and down, talking and walking with high heel shoes. Feels a little like someones back yard, as the courtyard looks into the owners kitchen. Outside bathroom was very neat and modern, clean. it isnt really outside, just has one wall that is made of the thin wooden poles. outsiders cant see in though, and there is only a washing line behind it with no other thoroughfare. and one does feel awkward if wanting to use loo and someone is hanging up washing. My wifes single bed was nice and firm, mine was too soft. Tv package is more than sufficient. overall satisfactory. Owners were friendly.
Before I start I have to say that apparently the owner was not there, so some of the slight problems may be due to this fact. the rooms are spacious, but some traces of previous guests remained, with trash in the dustbins and makeup marks on one of the towels. We had fun in the swimming pool (although it can also do with a good cleaning), played a fun table tennis match (with the broken paddles) and several games of checkers with the big checkers set (with a brick replacing the one missing piece). The one air conditioner (in the children's room) had to be switched off since it was leaking a big puddle on the floor. Although some minor repairs need to be made in the rooms, it was comfortable and we slept in and watched a JAWS marathon in bed. Unfortunately we did not see the manager when we left to say goodbye.
We were given a choice of room upon arrival, the room was small, as we expected for a budget room but it was spotlessly clean with true african character and much appreciated extra touches, like having real milk in the fridge for our coffee instead of that powdered rubbish. There was a ping pong table and a pool, we were given advice on the local area from the owner including suggestions of which area of Kruger we should head to. Kruger Phalaborwa gate is just a couple of miles away so it was very convenient too. Thanks Natalie, for a wonderful stay, we will recommend you to our friends!
Our stay at the Travllers Palm was very enjoyable. The rooms were very comfortable for the whole family. They had air conditioning too which we required for the summer. The host was very friendly.
Fabuloso! safaris park krueger y olifsnts river! Me encantó!
