좋은 인상을 주지 못한 호텔
1.재래시장 바로 옆이라 무얼 사 먹기는 편리함. 아침에 웅성거리는 소리 들렸음. 2.프놈펜 왕궁과 독립기념탑은 걸어서 갈 수 있음. 3.화장실 벽에 환기를 위한 구멍이 뚫려 있어 모기가 들어 옴. 4.침대와 침구가 마음에 들지 않았음. 5. 냉장고와 safety box가 있었음.

강변바로 옆의 프놈펜궁전 근처 위치좋은 곳에 있음. 괜찮은 레스토랑도 많음. 친절한 직원들이 이것저것 알려주고 1박만 숙박해도 10불에 짐 맡겨주는 서비스있음

掃除が行き届いておらず、用意されているのはバスタオルだけでした。 また使用済みタオルが放置されていたり、ベッドシーツや枕は全てカビ臭い。 朝は全ての水道が止まり、トイレも行けませんでした。私は二度と泊まらない。

Very well situated. Clean and good matrasses. Nice bathroom. Lovely staff. The only little downside is that the room has no natural light but not that annoying for a short stay.

Good location. Balcony room had good street view. Daily room service. Monkeys wanding around outside and over roofs. No soap or shampoo provided.

Nous nous enregistrons et nous rentrons dans notre chambre d’hôtel à Velkommen Guesthouse au 1er étage, chambre numéro 3. Première surprise : un cafard de la taille d’un pouce dans la salle de bains. - à 18h : nous revenons dans la chambre, deuxième cafard sous la chaise de la chambre et troisième cafard encore dans la salle de bains. - à 21h : nous revenons du dîner de l’extérieur, encore un cafard dans la salle de bain. Nous appelons le service de l’hôtel et demandons à changer de chambre. Celui-ci n’a pas ce pouvoir et applique un peu de produits anti-cafards dans la salle de bains. Le lendemain : - à 07h : encore des insectes dans la salle de bains. Nous décidons de faire nos valises et partir - à 08h : le responsable de l’hôtel nous dit que « c’est la seule chambre qui a ce problème ». Il nous propose la meilleure chambre de l'hôtel en guise de geste commercial. Nous refusons car nous ne nous sentons plus à l’aise ici. Il refuse de nous rembourser. Nous partons. Si c’est la seule chambre qui a ce problème, pourquoi nous l’a-t-on proposé ? De plus il y a une forte odeur d'excréments dans la salle de bains masquée par 3 rondelles de citrons sur l'évacuation de la salle de bains... La wifi ne fonctionne pas du tout au premier étage.

Not very good.
Staff not friendly, felt a bit uncomfortable communicating with them. Guesthouse completely locked up after 10pm. Difficult to get in and out late at night.

We loved our stay at the Velkommen. We were actually booked at another location and decided to move over here. Lovely family runs this hotel. The owner gave us some fantastic recommendations for taking the ferry ($0.25 round trip per person) just across the Mekong for a adventurous walk. And the most delicious Indian Restaurant recommendation as well. We sat out front enjoying our coffee and watching street life. Many markets close by to buy water and essentials. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

I live just outside Phnom Penh and have stayed here on numerous occasions when I need to be somewhere more central. Apart from its convenient location near the Riverside I really appreciate the consistent and reliable service offered. Rooms are clean and are equipped with all the amenities required. Management and staff are friendly and helpful creating a safe and relaxed atmosphere. Overall it is excellent value for money and is why I keep coming back.

For Phnom Penh this hotel is good.
The hotel location is just around the corner from the river. The room was basic and adequate. Wi-Fi signal was poor and spotty, but may have been just my room. The staff are excellent and helpful. They serve a basic breakfast, pizza (surprisingly tasty), drinks. The front doors close at 10pm but there's someone in the lobby to let you in. Close to restaurants and night life. Phnom Penh is a busy city so street is usually busy and noisey. There's a street market a block away. If that's your thing it's great. Or if like moi, just walk the other way.

Poor description
There were over 70 steps up to the room, (and no lift) which was advertised as being 16 sq m. It was only 12 sq. m, in spite of the owner / insisting that my measurements were not correct and stating that 'no lift' was on thein the description (it wasn't). The 'courtyard view' In the description turned out to be the wall of the next building. The small room did not have anywhere to hang clothes other than a short row of wire hooks on the wall. It is unfortunate that the description was incorrect and partly contributed to a negative opinion. The staff were fine. I did not use the restaurant / bar facilities as I was unhappy about the stairs and small room, which were disappointing.

Great location, great value.
I have stayed at this guesthouse on multiple occasions with my wife and young son and the experience is consistently good. Large comfortable rooms, some with balcony and the usual amenities one would expect. Friendly and efficient service is appreciated as well.

Vi var to som reiste sammen til Phnom Penh og bodde på Velkommen Guesthouse. Rommet var flott for oss to unge jenter som reiste alene. Rommet hadde det man måtte trenge og var akkurat passe størrelse. Varmt vann i dusjen og både vifte og aircondition på rommet. Rimelige og gode frokostutvalg. Hotellet var nært flere severdigheter og det var butikker, restauranter og tuk-tuker rett utenfor. Vennlig personale, og den norske eieren var veldig hyggelig og hadde svar og tips til alt vi lurte på!

Convenient and pleasant stay at Velkommen Guesthou
Velkommen Guesthouse is very close to the river and the Royal Palace, to restaurants that suited our budget and which provided meals we enjoyed, and to a travel agency which provided good service. Our initial impression when we arrived late evening was slightly negative as there were piles of rubbish in the street but we realized in the morning that it was the result having the night market nearby. W had a much more positive impression in the morning.

Good Value with Great Location
Enjoyable stay. Good value for a great location. Bit quieter street then some of the more busy areas of Phnom Penh. Convienently located for the palace and museum and promenade along the river. Could walk to the hotel from where the bus from Battambang dropped us off. Front desk staff was interesting to talk to and had his own tuk tuk to take you further afield. Would stay here again.

Walking distance to most attraction. Not suitable for older people if you get the upper floor since there's no lift. No water hose in the toilet as well.

Filthy Guesthouse
Filthy Guesthouse. Checked into the Velkommen Guesthouse. Standing at reception you can see down thru the kitchen. The walls are grimy with black stains on the walls. The manager showed me to my room.The first thing to hit me was the bad smell. The bed was dirty and looked like someone just crawled out of it. The painted walls have never being washed down. The bathroom had four air fresheners stuck in the drain hole. But I could still smell the sewage. When I complained to the manager, he said "this is a Guesthouse not a Hotel" ( They also told the Orbitz Rep the same thing) After I booked this place thru Orbitz. They told me my money was nonrefundable. So be aware. Don't pay in advance. They also told Orbitz they offered me two other rooms to look at. (A Total Lie)

Only place for me in Phmom Penh!
I stayed at the owner's sister hotel in Siem Reap for 4 days and stayed at this Velkommen hotel months before aND after staying at a few other Phnom Penh hotels I would even think of staying at another hotel ever. It's super clean, right near the riverwalk, quiet at night and managed extremely well. Owner even reached out to warn they are filling up and he got us rooms quickly reserved. Great value for a hotel but a few people can share a room to keep it at hostel prices but it's a nice quiet, friendly vibe that makes this place so special. Very safe as well!

Not worth it
Stay here if you badly need a place to stay overnight but come here just for sleeping and leave as soon as you can. Good thing I decided to do all my activities before checking in at night. The place was dark when I arrived and greeted by a man who basically sleeping on what seems to be a bar during the day. Check in took like 2 minutes. Didn't need any ID. Got to the room and it was small with windows covered by curtains. Didn't want to look outside because I kinda know it's definitely not a city view. The room and toilet looked clean but not sure when it was last cleaned. Basically I just stayed for a total of 6 hours and left the next day to catch my bus out of town. Yeah the only good thing about this place is that it is close to the Riverside which is where most bus stops.

Nice people, got a room with a window the window was so close to the next building there was 10% natural light, not Evan worth booking a room with window. Also the aircon was directly above the bed. Just made us freeze had to get extra blankets to stop chill. Or turn it of and cook! Shower was ok . 6 flights of stairs not so good. Overall depressing place to stay

Inexpensive guesthouse close to Riverview.
A reasonable priced guesthouse close to River. Centrally located in the area and only about 5 minutes from the airport (10-minutes during rush hours) and for a pleasant walk in the evening. Close to numerous bars and food establishments. Rooms are spacious, with good working A/C and hot water shower. In-room safe an added benefit. Good breakfast available, but a bit expensive. Tuk-tuks everywhere, all drivers amicable to haggling on pricing. I had a pleasant stay twice.

The staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. Great location. Central to nightlife, temples, the night market, river front, etc... Clean and well maintained. Decent beds for SE Asia.
