"The girls in the office were extremely sweet and helpful. The breakfast and coffee in the lobby were a huge plus. We were only there over night but I’m definitely planning on coming back!!"
"We loved our room and the whole space. It was beautifully done. Parking was easy. Main street Sutter Creek was walkable and we enjoyed the shops and restaurants. We did a wine tasting and olive oil tasting at Bella Grace which was nice. We loved all of the old architecture along the street. We would have done the Foundry tour, but it was closed."
"Average hotel, above average staff, with delightful quirks. I loved my stay here last weekend. The hotel appears to be average at first glance. The rooms are large. Love the separate living space from the bedroom. The furniture was comfortably worn-in, but serviceable. The cleanliness was very good! The staff were dog-friendly and loved my pittie Bruce every chance they got. Parking was easy, and access from parking to rooms is good. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Murphys Main St., where there are many restaurants, shops, and wine tasting rooms. I think it is an excellent value compared with other local hotels.
What makes this hotel better than the rest is its quirks. The lobby displays the Lee family (owners) history and outdoorsy artifacts. There are taxidermied bear, fish, and antler displays to enjoy. It reminded me of an Alaskan hotel lobby. They offer fresh-baked donuts delivered to your room each morning YUM! Or you can opt for a breakfast burrito. They also have soft-serve ice cream at the front desk if you like. Bruce loved it!
Everyone went out of their way to make me and my service dog Bruce feel welcome and appreciated. This has become my go-to hotel in the Murphys area."
"When we showed up there was a for sale sign on the sign at the entrance and nobody in the office. I had to call a phone number that was on the door to check in. They had to open our door remotely which I felt was not safe. We had an upstairs room, where we had to climb up unsafe stairs with metal plates in two spots to support the broken slats you walked on. The railing going up the stairs was wobbly and made us feel uncomfortable. Both my wife and I are in our mid 70’s and had a hard time with the shower and sink faucets. This was unacceptable cleanliness and accessibility. The tv didn’t work and I called about the tv and it was not fixed. We left a day early because we felt unsafe, we were the only people there. I feel we were overcharged for our stay and I feel we should be reimbursed for at least one day. I would not recommend this motel to anybody, it seemed like a nightmare."
"Great location, friendly staff, and a very comfortable stay
We really enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Inn. The location was excellent, with great restaurants nearby and fantastic walkability, which made it easy to explore the area without needing to drive everywhere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room itself was great—clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our stay.
The only slight disappointment was the continental breakfast, which was a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the experience. That said, it didn’t take away much from an otherwise very positive stay. Overall, we would definitely recommend the Victoria Inn, especially for anyone who values a convenient location and a pleasant, walkable surrounding area."
"Room was clean and did not smell like cleaning products.
TV was difficult to turn on.
Breakfast should have included sausage or bacon. Hot sauce for the artificial scrambled eggs would be a good idea.
Gravy was only served one day during my stay.
Host was gracious."

"Although the rooms were very clean and staff was very polite, the open space concept is not ideal for travelers who are in need of a good night sleep. Our rooms were located directly above the lobby area and you could hear every single conversation Word for Word. There was a huge gap around the doors so that could be a big issue and also you could hear the people snoring next door so the walls were paper thin."
