Once inside your residence apartment, you will find a generous combination of materials, marble, natural wood fortitude, luxury ceramics, and fully equipped kitchen off of a decor magazine. The hotel pool bar is the only hang out area, where you get everything from your breakfast to afternoon drinks (no other meals offered). "Upon arrival, the front desk was disorganized and not customer service oriented. We were simply asked for a $200 security deposit with no explanation of hotel amenities—no Wi-Fi details, brochure, or map. The hotel appears poorly managed and understaffed, and some staff members do not speak English.When we were escorted to our room, we immediately noticed issues. The bar fridge was not stocked, and the floors were still dirty from previous guests. We had booked an ocean view room, but the view was extremely limited—this should honestly be labeled as a “partial ocean view,” as the advertising is misleading.While the resort itself is small, quiet, and the property is visually nice with beautiful sunsets, the room had serious cleanliness and maintenance problems. The towels were dirty, yellowed, ripped, and had makeup stains. The glasses had visible lipstick marks. The sliding door did not close properly, leaving a gap that allowed bugs inside. The blackout curtain initially didn’t work, and once fixed, we saw it was heavily stained and possibly moldy. Although we reported these issues right away, it was disappointing that the room had not been properly cleaned to begin with. We were also locked out of our room multiple times due to malfunctioning key cards (the door lock batteries had to be replaced). The safe didn’t work and required maintenance to reset it. Towels were not replaced daily, and the shower had low pressure with barely warm water. "

"Yes we had a lovely view ofvthe beach. Monkeys up in the trees as well as a lizard visiting. The surfcwas too high for swimming. They said it changed 8 to 10 days ago. No shampoo or conditioner in bathroom and some chaise longues were broken. The staff were wonderful. Lots of restaurants near by to choose from. "

"This place is kinda like an apartment..it is right in town and close walk to everything. Beach was close also looks like they have another building ON the beach . The breakfast was good ..the listing on hotels said it was included HOWEVER it is a charge per person . It was listed free breakfast and after they said there was a fee i showed then the hotels.com listing befroe i got to talk to manager it had changed . After we pointed it out.. so they discounted us and we were fine with it as we only ate there once..was good .. and they were very nice people ( still think it shoulda been totally included for us since it is what it said origionally but since they were nice it was not a big deal..plus there is grocery round the corner which we bought some stuff so we didn't eat out every time. Bottom line its a good place , felt safe and lots of kids at pool..which we as a couple we didn't mind but if your lookijg for adults only it may not be for you with a small pool ( was nice and warm fyi.) We would stay again if we return to Samara "

"The room was wonderful and bright. The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. The kids club is amazing and the pool is pristine and the perfect temperature. and it is only a five minute walk away from a stunning beach. i definitely recommend the gilded iguana."

"The place is only a couple minute walk to Samara Beach and about a 4 minute drive to Carillo Beach. Both are fantastic! The staff here are amazing and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help you select some great adventures without getting ripped off. The food is top notch (and reasonably priced). Other restaurants are nearby too. The pool is small, but adequate to take a dip. The room was clean, and the A/C was great. There was a lot of room (we stayed in the King Suite The wifi was accessible everywhere on property, making staying connected to home and sharing our adventures on social easy. It also feels very private. The only downside comes down to preference. The bed was hard as a rock. If you like a firm bed, then perfect. We like medium firm. Maybe they would've had a mattress topper if we asked. But we persevered. Otherwise, for the price, this is an amazing find."
