“When you enter the shore house it’s really dark, dingy and the front desk area is very cluttered. It’s nothing like the images on the website. The bathrooms are super tiny with the sink outside in the room. The sink is so poorly constructed that you can barely wash your face or brush your teeth without getting water all over the floor. The floors of our room was dirty and sandy. The breakfast choices are awful, the almond milk was sour, the hard boiled eggs looked like they’ve been sitting out...

“Hotel was fine. Pool was under construction which was lame but the room itself was nice and clean. The terrace was quite unkept but a nice additin. Overall the location of the hotel is amazing being right near the beach so that in itself makes this worth it!!”

“We stayed at the hotel because we had a weekend wedding in South Kingstown. Everything was great. Room was very clean, staff very friendly and the beds were so comfortable! Breakfast was very good too. And since we had to bring our Shih Tzu, it was also a huge plus that the hotel is pet friendly. We highly recommend the hotel if you plan to stay in the South Kingstown/Narragansett area.”

“The Inn was lovely. The room was small, but authentic and fine. The problem is the food service is very spotty. The restaurant has limited hours and days- no breakfast except on weekends. Also if you have a room on a Monday, most of the day and all night there is no one working at all- you are alone! And on Tuesday when we needed to check out, there was no one working. We had to leave the keys in an unlocked room. ”

For the purpose of safety, I thought it was smart to book a room to crash in for a few hours , instead of hitting the road late night. To be horror…. “Had the most wonderful stay here, amazing staff and catered for our gluten free requirement with a delicious, huge breakfast. Extremely comfy bed with beautiful decor, and effective air conditioning. Walking distance to the best, most vibrant area of Newport. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We would recommend emailing with any special requests separately as they did not seem to be receiving messages we sent through Expedia.”

“The Home is lovely. The staff is exceptional . The bathroom shower on th second floor is not accessible for anyone with knee or leg injuries. This should be noted before booking that room. Parking is great.”
