"Super comfortable bed and pillows. Polite friendly staff. A lovely hotel stay to end our NZ adventure. A couple of minutes walk to international terminal and the free shuttle bus from/to domestic terminal. "

"Beautiful view of the black sand beach from the room. The bed was so comfortable, I had the best nights sleep. Highly recommend taking the walking track up top to the lookout at sunset, it was breathtaking. Breakfast buffet was delicious, load of options to choose from. "

"Stayed in a family room. Price for 2 adults and 2 kids was great. Very convenient location for an early airport departure. Great location for a visit to Rainbows End or Westfield and a choice of eateries on your doorstep. Staff were very lovely and helpful and room had everything we needed. The room was just very tired and in need of a little TLC to get it back to its former glory. Bed linen and towels were spotless"

"Postive points about this hotel was that it was close to where we needed to be and there was plenty of free parking - we felt safe returning at night. Negative points were there weren't any staff I think after 10pm. We returned to our room for the second night to find the room hadn't been serviced (the hotel information literature states the room is serviced daily) so we didn't have any dry towels and we couldn't request any as there weren't any staff. Overall an average stay. We had a room on the second floor overlooking the main road outside so we weren't able to open the curtains as you could see in from the street. The bed was too bouncy for our preference and the only shelf in the bathroom was fitted at a slant so you couldn't put anything on it! "

"Two balconies and a sunroom dining area. Washer and dryer are appreciated. Jackknife sofa was in disrepair and flimsy. Every thing else was great. "

"What can I say?, it's an old historic propdty Like in Ireland - thin walls but heaps of characters and character! Bathrooms sparkle as they are newly remodeled"
