Hotel Zeus is in the perfect position to access the Pompeii Archeological site. It is also 100m from the train line making the commute from Rome, Naples or Sorrento / Amalfi Coast super easy. Rooms were clean and good value for the money we paid.

Excellent location and room. But, gutter smell in bathroom was nauseating. Mold in bathroom. Also the AC did not work. Room remained hot. Had room changed next day. Here too AC fan did not work. Small things but should be corrected ASAP.

Picking a place to stay near a famous site is tricky. Maps are not always good in helping to determine actual distance. This hotel is a quarter of a block from the train that arrives from Naples. Add another quarter of a block and you are at the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. The staff are friendly and helpful. I am so pleased I chose this place to stay.

Easy, fast train ride from the Naples Central Station. Took the train from Rome, and the local train to the Pompei Scavi Station, which is across the street from the hotel. The Pompei ruins are maybe 200 meters from there, maybe closer.

Hotel very clean, day reception staff kind and friendly, night staff talk no English and were rude when we used translators to talk with them and try to book in, area around hotel all shuts at 5pm and a walk down hill to main town around 2 miles. Dirty area but good for a quick visit to pompaii.

This property is located 50m from the Pompeii Scavi train station. There are two Pompeii train stations make sure you use Pompeii Scavi. The hotel door is 100m from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. It was unbelievable. You catch the Vesuvius bus from Pompeii Scavi. The front desk guy spoke great English and was a huge reservoir of advice and recommendations. He found out I like archelogy and recommended an extra visit to Paestum which was one of the ten best archeology sites I have ever been too in my life. The hotel was spotless too.

Only if your priority is proximity to Pompeii.
Very simple, basic motel, no air conditioning or fan (it was 31 degrees outside this day), at the edge of a parking lot, with what seemed to be tablecloths used as bathroom towels. But, if your goal is to be close to the Pompeii ruins entrance and dont care about comfort then this is great. The reception in the evening was very friendly, but the guy in the morning was not.

Hotel is Located very close th Pompei Scavi train station, very convenient for visitor to the Pompeii archeological site. Finding the hotel is very confusing. You must go into a campground and then you see the small hotel. The hotel needs to improve their signs so that hotel guest know that the hotel is there. The room was small but comfortable. We checked in late. Our room was not ready, but housekeeping got to it reasonably quickly. Breakfast was adequate. Quality of offerings mediocre for the most part. Good coffee. One of the wait staff seemed surly... appeared to be some kind of staff conflict

Hot afternoon - No air condition
The room was excellent, location perfect. Park the car outside you room. However, since the nights had been cool, the hotel decided not to turn on the Air Conditioning in the rooms...so it was awfully hot during the afternoon, incredible that a hotel can operate in such a manner to disregard the guest's comfort in their room without any care what so ever.

Most worthless hotel EVER
The worst. No WiFI they rather put money in the owners pockets. No heat again the owner needs his capachino. Close to ruins and it should be part of them. Place does not say hotel but camping zeus not hotel zeus. Walked up the road in the rain and no signs about hotel office. Found it later as it was labelled camping...It is you get a room with a tv mounted on the ceiling ..no wifi no heat only thing good was lady serving breakfast. The rest of the staff worthless. Hotel is worthless and overpiced. I put this as a good review so you can see it and not burried at bottom. Dont stay here.

Very closed to Pompei Scavi (Ruin)
It us only 100-150 m from entrance of Pompei Scavi (ruin). We park a car at hotel which call as : Camping Zeus. The room is modern style. After check in, we park our car just in front of our room. There is a double king size bed and a double sofa bed. The funny is when we checked out and want to continue to Florence or North direction to Rome, we need to srive one round to get an entrance the same to Zeus Camping, just because it is one way traffic. Recommend everyone to stay here if you want to spend more time in Pompei Scavi.

The location was the best part about this place - it is a 3 min walk to the main entrance of Pompeii. We stayed 1 night only and our stay was okay - a no-frills hotel really. The service was good although the room could stand to be updated a bit. If you're looking for a simple place to stay before/after your Pompeii visit, this is the place.

Resort shuts down by 7pm
Zeus describes itself as having a restaurant but it was never open after 6pm. We had no means of getting a cup of tea or hot water to make a bed time cuppa. We asked for an early morning call which we did not get. No fault of Zeus but the whole area of the Pompei ruins shuts down at 7pm when the crowds go home.

convenient location, ok accommodation
The location is great, just adjacent to the train station, the price is right and the hotel room clean. The downsides are that you are really staying in a large parking lot, listening to the trains. There is no vent or air so you can either leave the windows cracked and have a lot of noise or close them and have a very stuffy room. The WiFi really doesn’t work - even if you go toward the router which is located in the middle of the parking lot, it’s not strong enough to pull down your email. The restaurant and bar are wonderful and staff was helpful.

Excellent location for visiting Pompeii
We turned up late at night (10pm) and weren't sure we had found the hotel as there was a huge sign saying 'Zeus Camping'. I hadn't booked camping... Having found that this was indeed the hotel, the receptionist was unable to find our (booked and prepaid) booking, although he gave us a spare room in the end. We were instructed to return to the reception at 8am the following day to 'sort out the problem'. The next day the morning receptionist told us that our booking was there, they just hadn't found it. As for the room - it was clean and functional. Nice tiling in the corridors. Some light bulbs hanging from wires without lampshades. There was a little terrace outside which I would like to have used, had we been staying longer. The breakfast was primarily sweet cake with a little ham and cheese. A 3 minute walk to Pompeii, and they kindly allowed us to leave our car at the hotel while we visited Pompeii, as long as we checked out first. They said leaving luggage in the car was not a problem as they had cameras in the car park. No kettle/coffee facilities in room.

Nice and comfortable
This hotel is right next to a campground of the same name so it was confusing at first when the taxi from the train station mentioned we were going to a campground. The hotel is clean and staff is nice and friendly. We of course stayed here because of visiting the Pompeii ruins. Perfect location to the ruins, The beds were very comfortable and there is air conditioning although you can't control the thermostat. The property lists they will hold your luggage while you are at the ruins, and this is true, however they leave your luggage right in the lobby and not locked up. There was no problem with this but its a little un-nerving. I'd stay here again. There was a place to do laundry which was needed after a week of traveling!

Camping Hotel with Lots Of Ants
This camping hotel, which is advertised as a regular hotel, is still not quite finished yet (there is lots of lamp cables without lamps attached to them), but it is already suffering from severe ant infestation. Upon arrival (we were travelling with a 1year old), we needed to change rooms because of the many ants in our original room. We rejected the offered insect spray, as those strong chemicals will work against both ants and 1-year-old infants. The room we changed into had no ants on the first day, but the air conditioning worked only at low power. We preferred the higher temperature to the ant infestation. On our 3rd night, however, the ants had also invaded this room. As it was our last night, we didn't do anything about it. On arrival, we were promised that hot water would be available to us by means of the coffee/espresso machine in the bar across from the hotel, which is operated by the same people as the hotel. However, when we actually needed hot water (for preparing baby food), we were told that the bar was closed and we should "just turn the tap water to hot" (ridiculous). Electric water heating is not available from the reception, and there are no microwaves. There are no cribs. It is really close to the local "Circumvesuviana" train station and to the Pompei Ruins main entrance. The hotel advertisement also mentions that the hotel has a restaurant, but they neglect to mention that it is closed in the evening and thus useless. The breakfast was pretty ok

Very comfortable hotel, very close to pompeii.
The hotel was great, overall good experience. The staff were very helpful apart from the checking out. We had to check out early (before 8 am) for an early flight and encountered a night desk clerk/manager, who tried to charge us again for the room, was rude and very unfriendly. After what had been an excellent stay with very helpful staff, this was our departing memory of the hotel. I must stress before this, all the other staff were lovely and very accomodating.
