"Nice hotel with a beautiful backdrop in a quiet local neighborhood. The hotel is gated, so it feels safe, and there is plenty of parking. The staff was wonferful - always willing to help any way they could, however the desk is not staffed 24/7, so getting a hold of someone wasnt always possible. The room was spacious and well stocked, however not the most updated/new (coffee maker leaked water, microwave door stuck, ice cune tray was broken, sliding glass door to patio was very hard to open)....

"The Octant is a great hotel. Location is perfect. The staff is absolutely amazing and very helpful. They certainly go over and beyond to make your stay perfect. The hotel is clean, up to date and the breakfast is soooo delicious!! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone that goes to Sao Miguel. This is one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed in. Our room was comfortable, clean and amazing. We can’t wait to go back again! AND….its DOG friendly (so cool)!!! "
