“Pour rester le plus objectif possible, je dirais que l’hôtel est idéal pour les voyageurs en quête d’authenticité (cadre, environnement, architecture….) Cependant, ne cherchez pas la tranquillité absolue, car l’ancien édifice réhabilité en hôtel reste mal insonorisé. Nous avions une chambre au 1er étage où nous avions l’impression d’avoir les voisins dans la salle de bain. Non pas que ces derniers étaient bruyants, loin de là, mais la conception et le cloisonnement ne sont pas dignes d’un hôtel...

Doors catching on the floors, tarnished brass on door handles, musty smell, … overall appearance is tired and could do with a freshen up. Room service/cleaning only done if booked the day before (and before 6 pm) which was sneakily put through. Not what I would expect for the price charged, it should be by default! “An attractive hotel featuring kind and welcoming staff . Beautiful swimming pools and gardens . The interior felt a little dated, especially in the library/game room area . The door key cards were a little problematic . But. the staff were delightful !”

The hotel is advertised as two connected properties with spa amenities but in reality they are pretty disjointed and quite a bit of walk from each other. The spa reservation system is not great because there is no online way to reserve a massage and one needs to go to a remote reception spot to reserve it between 10 am and 7 pm (which is prime time NOT to be at the hotel).
