To get to Lopes Mendes Beach (Praia de Lopes Mendes), you can either take a water taxi to an adjacent beach and trek 1km or trek about 2-3 hours through wild jungle on trails. It is worth it! Bring snacks, water, and sunscreen as it is isolated and does not have infrastructure. This is maximum a 2 star hotel. For that price, you get a good quality 4 star hotel in Rio with ocean view."

"The hotel is submerged in the green, everything was nice but the only big problem we found was the noise. We had I guess extra loud neighbors, they woke us up at night, every night, but this happened also because the walls between us they were paper thin, we could hear everything."

"Hendjel and the team were fantastic at this beautiful location and they are here to help with anything you need. This place feels like a secret paradise on a desert island. The food was mind blowing with great chefs for breakfast and dinner. we saw a turtle swimming by one morning while having breakfast ! The beach located close to the resort is wonderful and there are some great hikes to the main town and waterfalls. Amazing ! "

"The location is fabulous. Directly on the main strip in front of the sea. Staff was helpful. After checking in the AC wouldn't turn on. Fixed that.. 2 hrs later it was still hot so a technician came and we went to dinner. Upon return at 1 am, it was cooler but not cold. So i let them know in the morning before heading out. When returned in the evening it was much cooler. The shower was not very clean..it had old stains. It was also very finicky.. usually scalding hot. I was on the 2nd floor......
