Charming and Aesthetically pleasing heritage structure, kind staff, great location, spacious rooms, modern bathrooms, but TERRIBLE HARD beds - took painkillers to sleep. They charge for the very small breakfast they offer - a set menu, and it’s not good. We would choose a different property next time. #1 most important hotel rule - a comfortable bed. Everything else is fluff…🙂

Beautiful but noisy at times

Great place. Unfortunately our room was facing a busy street so was very noisy. We were frequently awakened by car horns. Get a room on the quiet side.

Sound reverberates through this hotel and conversations, footsteps, and restaurant noise is amplified. Outside street noiae is loud, too. It's quiet through the night, though, as el centro shuts down relatively early here.

Noisy parties negate all the good..

The good part… the bed, linens, television was new, big, good signal. Central location on a busy corner. Internal sliders successfully block the street noise. Ceiling fan. The bad.. breakfast should be included. The worst. The pizzeria that opens into the courtyard is used for parties. This means loud, live , amplified music. So loud that you cannot watch the television and certainly cannot sleep. I stayed for more than a week. I will be returning to Popayan but I will never again stay at La Plazuela.These noisy parties are very inconsiderate to hotel guests and ruined my experience.

Sencillo y limpio pero incómodo y ruidoso

Un hotel sencillo, cama cómoda y limpio. Personal al amable aunque no presenta solución a problemas. La habitación asignada 107 está al lado de la cocina y la lavandería, así que hay ruido permanente. Solicite cambio pero no fue posible. Posiblemente asignaron esa habitación por la tarifa conseguida en Hotels. En la noche, el ventilador es insuficiente para mantener la habitación fresca, hace mucho calor, es muy incómoda la temperatura en la habitación y no se puede descansar bien.

Emplacement idéal pour les visites

Hotel idéalement placé en plein centre de la ville historique. Personnel agreable et à l'écoute. Chambre assez grande, propre, literie très confortable, mais donnant sur un patio, donc pas très lumineuse. Par contre petit déjeuner minimaliste et mauvais. Seuls les oeufs étaient bons ! Nous avons choisis de ne pas dejeuner à l'hotel le second jour.
