โIt was very clean and nicely decorated. The house is a cool old building. The AC worked great (important, as it was super muggy outside.) I was only there for a couple nights but I think it would have worked well for a longer stay. โ
โWhen we pulled in the sign said โHotel Indigoโ. This was disconcerting since I had made reservations at a Holiday Inn Express. I also stayed at the same property in April when it was a Holiday Inn Express. Itโs still an IHG property..
We appreciate the history of this hotel and itโs nice that the renovations celebrate this.. itโs on the National Register of Historic Places as the first motel on Route 66 in St Louis. โ
โThe valet and front desk staff were great! Everyone was friendly and helpful, really created a welcoming environment. The overnight parking is a little pricey, but they took good care of our car and offered a speedy retrieval when needed. Parking in the area is limited, and while there is some street parking, wasnโt sure it was secure enough for an overnight. The hotel amenities were wonderful.
