"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. "After seeing mixed reviews I had been concerned but for the price we paid this place is amazing. We were lucky to have been upgraded to a 2 bedroom apt, which I would book first time if we came again as see that the one bed would be small for 4. It had everything we needed (except a fan) Like everyone else who stayed whilst the weather was around 35 degrees, we struggled with the heat and no air con, had to sleep with the bedroom door open (we had a ground floor apartment but it felt safe). "Аtmosphere and ambience, everything was above our expectations. It is especially nice that staying at the hotel you can explore the Abbey until midnight. Everything is open and there are crowds free. The smell of the herbs in the gardens is simply divine! Oh, and don't skip breakfast under any circumstances. The experience is unique."

"What a wonderful stay we had! Sad that we didn’t spend more time as really was a quick stop! I rung ahead and explained we were going to be a little late for check in (we were driving back to the UK from Spain) they couldn’t have been more helpful! Lovely people, the most beautiful room (almost like a small apartment!) We had the family room which had 2 double beds and a single - for our family of 5 it was perfect! No doubt I would stay here again! Highly recommend!"

"I’m not usually compelled to leave reviews for goods and services I use but this place was so cool. It’s in the center of this amazing little midlevel town and a renovated 18th century manor but with all the comforts of a new hotel. They did a great job preserving the history while modernizing. Room and furniture was emasculate and the air conditioning was superb. The staff were very attentive, professional, and helpful. Breakfast and dining area were great! Highly recommend this place. A+"
