I had a great stay at Mangoes. Service was excellent and the bungalow was delightful. I don't normally eat at a hotel but I did here as the food was lovely (and cheap!).

The room was spacious and the gardens were lovely but the resort was in need of some significant maintenance (eg the pool was missing half the capping stones around the rim, one of the pools was green/milky and needed cleaning). I have stayed at other resorts in Efate and the service was much better too.

The staff are all friendly and remembered me by my name. They were happy to help out with any requests. The rooms were nice a spacious and had a nice view, and my room came with a plunge pool which was cleaned every morning. Definitely stay here if you want a nice relaxing Holliday.

Great hotel. Staff is great. Room was very clean and comfortable. Shower very good as well. AC was good. Views are great. A short walk to downtown. I hope they fix the city up to make it a great downtown and that would really help Port Vila tourism. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff and service amazing. There's a bit of a hill but easy to jump into a bus if you don't want to walk up the hill to other parts of town, easy for tours to be arrange through reception of do yourself via various apps. Food is delicious only would suggest having the ability to order something simple for dinner if been out and about for the day. Had garden view pool villa - it was great, peaceful, kitchen facilities so you could cook yourself and save $. Encourage you to also try other local dining options as very reasonably priced.

Decent room size with balcony. The pool view room has larger patio with decent view. However the rooms have ants problem inside and outside. The water system has problem sustaining consistent hot water for showers. The staff are great though. The service is accommodating.

The property and staff are great. They had an issue with AC not available but that isn't an issue for the future. Waiting on a taxi and availability of taxi after 9pm is a challenge. Local young men harass from the street while waiting on a taxi or any other reason you're out exposed.

We had a great 7 nights at Mangoes Resort. The staff are friendly and very helpful with any queries you have and helping with transportation. Buses are pretty easy to catch from the front of the resort and they have drivers always available. The location is a little further from the main streets of Port Villa than we expected. It is walkable but isn’t flat and we wouldn’t suggest walking it late at night. The resort is not directly on the lagoon and has no water access. For us and others staying, this was deceiving in the photos. The villas with a lagoon view are definitely better. We had a private pool however we didn’t use it due to being a little rundown. The main pools and surrounding areas are also a little rundown with broken pool tiles and timber needing replacing. We did however see them doing repairs while there so maybe this will change. The room itself was very clean and had the essentials which we needed.

If you’re looking for a place which is quiet and peaceful, this is it. No children. No cultural nights. Just tranquility. We stayed in the plunge pool accommodation and it was ver private with a great view. I would definitely recommend to pay a bit extra and stay in one of these. The accommodation with no pool has no private outdoor area for you to relax and unwind. They catered for my husband who has coeliac disease. The chef spoke to him and made a separate menu. This was very reassuring. Mangoes also extended our stay by an extra night when our flight was cancelled by our airline. This also included a free upgrade. You won’t be disappointed with your stay at Mangoes- definitely recommend

All up, just OK and mixed good and bad. I was disappointed by the meals and felt the food was quite small, ordinary and overpriced. Lack of attention to the basics like salt and pepper on bringing the meal Cockroaches in my room's kitchen cupboard (large ones). This place is a bit isolated so good if you have a car. I did not. So, I needed to walk quite a bit up hill and, in the heat, to find anything and no public transport going past the hotel. The reception does not sell cell phone recharge cards. Not a place for oldies. There was no work desk, but you can work from a small dining table but no power outlet close enough to plug in. However, a very pleasant view and comfortable room and lovely manicured gardens with pool. And the reception very friendly and lovely.

Quiet place, no need for a private pool! Even my bungalow next to the road (#20) was peaceful, and all three small resort pools were empty, cool, and surrounded by plants. Staff is available and not overly-solicitous. Feasible walk to large grocery store in town. Loved their attention to eco-friendly measures where possible. Not flood-lit at night, so you can see the stars & the moonlight shimmering in the lagoon. Walk up to their sister resort, undergoing renovations, to use the glorious infinity pool there. No-fuss transfer to & from the airport, charged to room & paid before checkout by credit card. Welcome to stay on premises by the pool or in the restaurant ahead of flight. WiFi was particular to your room and choppy as you moved around the grounds, but usable with a bit of patience. Would return & happily bring friends!

Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff are friendly and helpful - great customer service! The bungalows are well setup and the lagoon view and private pool just took it to the next level, definitely worth it. The resort restaurant has a great range for each meal and the cocktails fit the vibe perfectly. Highly recommend staying at Mangoes - 12/10!
