It was a lovely stay at this guest house. The place was very clean and within walking distance to the beach, as a plus. There were good restaurants and supermarkets nearby, and the neighborhood felt quiet and safe. Overall, it was a very lovely experience.

Great hotel with nice decoration

This hotel was very nice, the breakfast was good, the decoration good, the bed was comfortable the only thing is a bit far from center but the rest is ok, also anyone give you keys it is like Airbnb the process, so I was expecting more than hotel. Thankxs

Excellent place with very good prices for area. Irina who prepares the breakfast is fantastic and she entertained my baby every morning. Make sure that you message in advance for door code as this is not a 24/7 hotel, it’s a guest house, so plan arrival accordingly.

Like living in a coastal village

I stayed for 4 nights. The place is well situated between the market and the ocean. It was like staying in a coastal village rather than in a big city. If you're walking the Camino de Santiago, then Foz is on your way to Santiago de Compestela!

It wasn’t even 8 a.m and people going up and down the staircase and preparing breakfast downstairs were so loud that it wasn’t possible to fall back asleep. Otherwise neat and comfortable

Lovely stay, thank you, prefect location to the beach. There was a knack to opening the door so I called and owner immediately answered no problem. I got a text message that morning with the details for the stay, not an email so I think this could be why others have had a problem, may rely on roaming. The lady at breakfast was absolutely wonderful with my son. Obrigado.

Very nice guesthouse. We feel good and very safe in it (i was alone and felt really confortable and in security). Rooms with lots of lights, high ceiling. Very close to the beach and the shopping street of Foz do Douro - very charming city! I would recommend ! One thing that coule be improved : i would have liked to have a human contact with the guesthouse owner/manager. This is missing. Would have liked to get recommendations from that person, and a human welcome.

My stay was excellent; however, there are minor maintenance details that should be fixed. Broken fixtures in the bathroom door as well as the glass door in the shower. Front door with some tear in the paint and no headrest for the bedroom are the main issues. Again, minor details but I think they should be fixed if possible to mantain the charm of the place. The ceiling in the breakfast room has paint peeling. The place is peaceful and located near the beach, super convenient with restaurants and places to walk. Will stay here my next visit.

The room was clean and the surrounding area was very nice. We had a great meal and nice walk on the pier. What was frustrating was 1) the communication with the owner. There was no return call on the AC probably because there wasn’t AC. This made it hard to sleep. 2) There could have been some finer points that would have made sleeping better. There was no sheet under the comforter, no second pillow to put between the legs and the rug next to the bed slipped every time you stepped on it (a safety hazard)! Breakfast was fine, but there was nobody to check us out, again the lack of communication.
