Hassle free check-in (earlier check in was available for us) by a very welcoming and attentive staff. The room was very nice, clean, bright and had comfortable beds and air conditioning. Breakfast was more than adequate. They also had parking on property, which was super convenient. Location is great: near eateries and grocery stores and yes...the hot springs. Love it and would be back again. Thank you, Hotel Vale Verde!

This hotel was close to many of the places we wanted to visit in Furnas. A good amount of restaurant options within walking distance, as well. They were kind enough to let us check in early as we came in after an overnight flight. Very much appreciated. Our room was spacious and had air conditioning.

Only complaint is how to get into the property was unclear- the entire property is gated with no clear instructions how or where to get through. Staff was friendly, the hotel was conveniently located in the town. I took us only 10-15 minutes to walk to spas. Breakfast was moderate. Free parking is possible right across the street.

Great place to stay in Furnas. The property is old but well taken care of, maintained and super clean. You can tell that whoever runs this place really loves it. I read complains about limited breakfast but good luck finding something more than ham and cheese sandwich earlier than 10.30 am elsewhere in Portugal lol. I would recommend this place to stay

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my stay at Hotel Vale Verde was very disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share. The rooms are basic, but the real issue was comfort and cleanliness. The pillows were unbelievably small and flat, making it almost impossible to get a good night’s sleep. In the bathroom, there was visible mold on the tiles and a shower curtain that looked dirty and in need of replacement. Throughout my stay, the room was never cleaned, which left it feeling neglected and uncomfortable. Breakfast was extremely poor, offering little more than slices of ham and cheese. For the price charged, I expected far more—especially considering this is a 2-star hotel. Unfortunately, the cost does not reflect the quality or services provided. Overall, I cannot recommend Hotel Vale Verde. Furnas is a wonderful destination, but there are much better options available in the area. I would advise future travelers to avoid this property and look elsewhere for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
