This property is amazing. Perched on top of the hill and at the foot of Prague Castle, it offers privacy as well as proximity to all key attractions. The service is fantastic and the restaurant is one of the best in Prague for Czech food. This is our second visit and we will return for sure!

The hotel was beautiful. The location was perfect. The room was large and beautifully kept. The restaurant was delicious. All of the staff were so friendly and nice. Jana at reception was particularly friendly and helpful!

Convenient location, great hotel stay

The airport pickup has been arranged by the hotel, which was extra charged. The checkin was smooth and easy. Location just next to the Prague castle and easy walking distance to the river and other attractions make it a convenient stay. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable. Hotel WiFi was sufficient. The breakfast was good with adequate / sufficient choices. Overall it was a great stay.

I loved my stay! I switched a couple of different rooms since I decided to extend it. I highly recommend it, especially the supreme room with the view is worth it! Staff was very friendly, helpful, even when I wasn’t feeling well one staff member was kind enough to suggest options and let me know what clinics I could visit. David was also great and was very helpful when I was having panic attack, the location is superb!

Excellent hotel for a few days break in Prague. Would thoroughly recommend. Steep climb but up near castle in a lovely position. Great breakfast and clean modern rooms.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and were very pleased. It’s an excellent location near the Prague Castle and Petrin Hill. Walkable to the Charles Bridge and Astrological Clock as well. Nearest tram stop is about a 7-10 minute walk from the hotel. Very easy to get around Prague with public transportation. Room was clean and comfortable. We were on the top floor and had excellent views of the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good with many choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again on our next visit to Prague. Only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is quiet a hike up the hill from the tram stop. You can grab a cab if necessary, otherwise be prepared to climb quite a bit here and around other parts of the city.

The property was great, delicious breakfast is offered, the room was nice and spacious with a nice view of the street. The elevator is quite small and if you have a lot of luggage may require multiple trips. Overall it was great I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is just below of Prague Hotel and is part of the Royal Way. Beautiful, spacious and well appointed room which gave us a magnificent view of the street and also the rooftops of Prague. Well positioned in the heritage part of Prague. A very good breakfast was included.

This hotel is ideally located 5 min from Prague castle and 5min from monastery. The view from hotel is historically nostalgic often with music in the background. The breakfast is well stocked with a wide variety of food items. In house restaurants has a charming atmosphere and good food. Highly recommend!

A Gem in the Heart of the City I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible property, and it exceeded all my expectations. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of everything, with the majestic castle just a 5-minute walk away. The convenience of being so close to major attractions made exploring the city a breeze. But what truly took my breath away was the view from my window. It was absolutely stunning—something you’d only dream of. Waking up to such a beautiful scene every morning was magical. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring my stay was comfortable from start to finish. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience!

I searched for ages for a decent hotel at a fair price with good reviews. As so many others had questionable reviews, i thought the Golden Star might be too good to be true, but in fact it was perfect, a standard room with a great view over the square and the city beyond, large bright period windows, and lovely touches like real keys (!) as well as a good sized fridge, a safe, and all mod cons. And surrounded by the beautiful buildings and parks of the castle’s historical centre. The tram stop is 5 mins down the hill from which you can get anywhere, and there are lots of eating options and small convenience stores all around. At night it was quiet even with the windows open. The breakfasts were sumptuous with lots of choice. I loved it and would definitely recommend it for a few days break.

Great walkable area, comfortable beds. Good shower. Clean bathroom. Very large room. Quiet in room. No problem with being disturbed by neighbors. Efficient, helpful staff. Free breakfast was quite good as well. Restaurant downstairs has nice patio and good food and drink as well if you don’t always feel like wandering. I would suggest the room could use a dresser. They provide a wardrobe by it would be nice to have a couple of drawers available to put some clothes away. But that’s obviously a minor thing. I would definitely return. Great stay.
